4. Operating Instructions
Basic Leveling:
To check for level or plumb:
- Place the level firmly against the surface you wish to check.
- For horizontal (level) surfaces, observe the bubble in the horizontal vial. The surface is level when the bubble is centered between the two indicator lines.
- For vertical (plumb) surfaces, observe the bubble in the vertical vial. The surface is plumb when the bubble is centered between the two indicator lines.

Magnetic Function:
The powerful rare earth magnets allow the level to securely attach to ferrous metal surfaces, providing hands-free operation. Simply place the magnetic edge of the level onto the metal surface.
5. Maintenance
Cleaning:
To maintain accuracy and extend the life of your level:
- Wipe the level clean with a soft, damp cloth after each use.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the vials or the level's finish.
- Ensure the vials are clear of dirt and debris for unobstructed viewing.
Storage:
Store the level in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Protect it from impacts that could affect its calibration.
Battery Replacement:
Replace batteries when the LED lights dim or fail to illuminate. Refer to the 'Battery Installation' section for detailed steps.
6. Troubleshooting
Common Issues:
- LED lights not working: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the level is clean and free of debris. Verify that the surface being measured is stable. If persistent inaccuracy occurs, the level may require professional calibration.
- Level not adhering magnetically: Ensure the surface is ferrous metal and clean. Magnets may not hold on painted or coated surfaces as effectively.
