2. Safety Information

General Safety Guidelines:

  • Ensure the cooktop is properly installed and grounded by a qualified electrician.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • Never leave the cooktop unattended during operation.
  • Keep flammable materials away from the cooktop.
  • Do not use the cooktop for space heating.
  • Always use cookware with a flat base that is appropriate for the burner size.

Integrated Safety Features:

  • Child Safety Lock: Prevents accidental operation. Activate this feature to lock the controls.
  • Automatic Shutdown: The cooktop will turn off after a specified period of inactivity, enhancing safety.

5. Installation (Setup)

This cooktop is designed for built-in installation or countertop use. Professional installation is recommended for built-in applications.

Installation Requirements:

  • Power Supply: Requires a 220-240V power supply. This cooktop does not come with a plug and must be hard-wired by a qualified electrician.
  • Cutout Dimensions: For built-in installation, ensure your countertop cutout measures 34.25 x 19.37 inches.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the cooktop as per local building codes.

Installation Methods:

  1. Built-in Installation: Integrate the cooktop into your kitchen countertop for a seamless look.
  2. Countertop Use: The cooktop can also be placed directly on a stable, heat-resistant countertop. It features anti-slip rubber feet for stability.

6. Operation

Operating your VBGK Electric Cooktop is straightforward with its intuitive knob controls.

Basic Operation:

  1. Power On: Ensure the cooktop is connected to power.
  2. Select Burner: Turn the desired burner's control knob to activate it.
  3. Adjust Heat Level: Rotate the knob to select one of the 9 power levels. The LED display will show the selected level.
  4. "P" Mode (Booster): For rapid heating, select the "P" mode. The burner will operate at maximum power for 5 minutes, then automatically revert to power level 9.
  5. Set Timer: Use the timer function for precise cooking. The timer can be set for up to 99 minutes. The cooktop will automatically shut off the selected burner(s) when the timer expires.
  6. Child Lock: Activate the child lock to prevent accidental changes to settings or activation of burners. Refer to the specific instructions on the control panel for activation/deactivation.
  7. Power Off: Turn the control knob to the "0" position to turn off a burner. The hot surface indicator will remain lit until the surface has cooled.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your cooktop.

Cleaning the Ceramic Surface:

  • Always ensure the cooktop is cool before cleaning.
  • Simply wipe the heat-resistant microcrystalline panel with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • For stubborn stains, use a ceramic cooktop cleaner and a non-abrasive pad.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that can scratch or damage the surface.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your cooktop, refer to the following common error codes and their solutions:
