3.2 Ports and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the various ports and controls on your player:

  • DC 12V Input: For connecting the AC or car power adapter.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the player's built-in battery. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the player and plug it into a wall outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.2 Powering On/Off

To power on the player, slide the Power Switch to the 'ON' position. To power off, slide it to the 'OFF' position.

4.3 Remote Control Setup

Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control. Ensure correct polarity.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Disc Playback

  1. Open the disc cover gently.
  2. Place a Blu-ray or DVD disc onto the spindle, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  3. Close the disc cover.
  4. The player will automatically detect and begin playback of the disc.
  5. Use the on-screen menu or remote control to navigate disc content, select chapters, or adjust settings.

Note:

  • Blu-ray discs are compatible with Region A only.
  • DVDs are region-free.
  • Incompatible disc types include DVD Audio, SACD, DVD-RAM, DTS-CD, Photo CD, CD-G, and CD-EXTRA data discs.

5.2 Media Playback (USB/SD)

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port or a Micro SD card into the Micro SD card slot.
  2. Use the 'Source' button on the remote or player to select 'USB' or 'SD' as the input source.
  3. Navigate through your files using the directional buttons and 'OK' button on the remote or player.
  4. Select the desired photo, video, or music file to begin playback.

5.3 Screen Rotation

The 14-inch TFT LCD screen can be rotated 180 degrees to the left and 90 degrees to the right. This allows for optimal viewing from various positions. You can also fold the screen flat against the base unit, transforming it into a tablet-like display, ideal for mounting in a car (car mount sold separately).

5.4 Resume Function

The player features a resume function that allows you to continue playback from the exact point where you stopped. This works even if the power is turned off or the disc is removed.

Important:

To ensure the resume function works correctly, please open the disc cover before turning off the power or removing the disc.

5.5 Audio and Video Settings

You can adjust various display and audio settings through the player's menu:

  • Navigate to [Main Settings][Image/Sound Settings][Video Settings].
  • Here, you can adjust brightness, contrast, color, and saturation to your preference.
  • The player supports Dolby Surround Sound for an enhanced audio experience.

6. Connectivity

6.1 Connecting to a TV via HDMI

To view content on a larger screen, connect the player to a TV, monitor, or projector using an HDMI cable (not included).

  1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI Output port on the player.
  2. Connect the other end to an HDMI Input port on your TV or display.
  3. Select the corresponding HDMI input on your TV.

6.2 Connecting to a TV via AV Cable

Use the included 3-in-1 AV cable to connect the player to older TVs or displays with AV input ports.

  1. Connect the AV cable to the AV Output port on the player.
  2. Connect the red, white, and yellow RCA connectors to the corresponding input ports on your TV.
  3. Select the AV input on your TV.

6.3 Connecting to a Projector

For an even larger display, connect the player to a projector using an HDMI cable (not included).

  1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI Output port on the player.
  2. Connect the other end to an HDMI Input port on your projector.
  3. Select the corresponding HDMI input on your projector.

6.4 Connecting to Another DVD Player (AV IN/OUT)

The player can be connected to another DVD player to simultaneously play the same movie, using the AV IN/OUT functionality. An AV cable is required (not included for this specific use case).

7. Power Supply

The FANGOR F-BR142W offers three convenient ways to power your device:

  • Built-in 5000mAh Battery: Provides over 3 hours of continuous Blu-ray playback or 5 hours of DVD playback on a full charge. Ideal for portable use.
  • AC Adapter: Connect to a standard household power outlet for continuous power and charging.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for electronics screens. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning the Disc Tray: Keep the disc tray free of dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air if necessary.
  • Disc Care: Handle discs by their edges. Store them in their cases to prevent scratches. Clean dirty discs with a soft, damp cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the player in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for a long time, charge the battery to about 50% every few months.
