1. Introduction

The NEEWER GL1C RGB 15.5" Key Light is a versatile LED video panel designed for streaming, gaming, and various content creation needs. It offers extensive control options, including 2.4G, WiFi, Bluetooth App, and Elgato Stream Deck compatibility, along with a touch bar for intuitive color adjustments. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your GL1C Key Light.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all items listed below are included in your package:

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your NEEWER GL1C Key Light:

1. Attach the Ball Head Adapter: Secure the ball head adapter to the top of the desktop stand. This allows for flexible positioning of the light panel.
2. Mount the Light Panel: Attach the GL1C RGB LED Streaming Light to the ball head adapter. Ensure it is securely fastened.
3. Secure the Desktop Stand: Use the included desk clamp stand to firmly attach the light to the edge of your desk or table. Adjust the clamp to fit the thickness of your surface.
4. Adjust Height and Angle: The desktop stand allows for height adjustment and the ball head adapter enables 360° rotation and 135° tilt, providing optimal lighting angles.
5. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the power adapter, then connect the adapter to the GL1C light and a power outlet.

4. Operating the NEEWER GL1C

The NEEWER GL1C offers multiple control methods for adjusting its lighting parameters.

4.1. On-Device Controls

The light panel features physical controls for basic adjustments:

• Power Button: Long press for 3 seconds to turn the GL1C on or off.
• Brightness/Intensity Control: Use the dedicated knob or buttons to adjust the light's intensity from 0% to 100%.
• Color Temperature (CCT) Control: Adjust the color temperature from 2900K (warm) to 7000K (cool) using the dedicated controls.
• Touch Bar: Swipe your finger across the touch bar to quickly select and change colors in HSI mode.

4.2. Wireless Control Methods

The NEEWER GL1C supports multiple wireless control options:

• 2.4G Control (PC/Mac):
  1. Plug the 2.4G USB transmitter into your PC/Mac.
  2. Download and install the 'NEEWER Control Center' software.
  3. Use the software to control the GL1C, including group control for multiple NEEWER 2.4G lights. No network is required for this method.
• WiFi Control (PC/Mac):
  1. Ensure your GL1C and PC/Mac are connected to the same WiFi network.
  2. Use the 'NEEWER Control Center' software to control the light.
• Bluetooth App Control (iOS/Android):
  1. Download the 'NEEWER' App from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Connect the GL1C via Bluetooth within the app.
  3. Use the app to adjust brightness, color temperature, HSI modes, and access the Color Picker feature.
• Elgato Stream Deck Compatibility:
  1. Download the 'NEEWER Live' plugin (V2.0.0 or later) from the Stream Deck platform.
  2. Connect the Stream Deck to the 'NEEWER Control Center' on your PC/Mac.
  3. Easily adjust light settings, customize scene effects, and launch presets directly from your Stream Deck controller.

4.3. Special Effects (FX Scenes)

The GL1C features 18 built-in FX scene effects, including a Music Sync mode that allows the lighting to react to audio rhythms. These effects can be accessed and controlled via the app or the on-device interface.

• Light not turning on: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the light and a working power outlet. Long press the power button for 3 seconds.
• Cannot connect via 2.4G/WiFi/Bluetooth:
  
  • For 2.4G: Ensure the USB transmitter is correctly plugged into your computer.
  • For WiFi: Verify that both the light and your control device (PC/Mac) are on the same WiFi network.
  • For Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the NEEWER App has the necessary permissions. Try restarting the app and the light.
• Flickering light: Check power connections. If using an external power source, ensure it meets the required specifications.
• Inaccurate colors: Calibrate your display or use the Color Picker feature in the NEEWER App to match desired colors. Ensure the light is not in a conflicting FX mode.
• Light overheating: While designed for efficient heat dissipation, ensure the vents are not obstructed and the light is used in a well-ventilated area.

8. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the light panel and housing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
• Storage: When not in use, store the light in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Handle the light with care to prevent damage to the LED panel or internal components.
