Self-Cleaning Function

  1. Ensure the ice basket is empty.
  2. Fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line.
  3. Long-press the "ICE/CLEAN" button for 5 seconds to initiate the automatic cleaning cycle. The indicator light will flash white.
  4. The cleaning procedure will run for approximately 20 minutes.
  5. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, open the rubber drain plug located at the bottom of the unit to drain out the dirty water.
  6. Close the drain plug securely.

Manual Cleaning

For a more thorough cleaning or if the self-cleaning function is insufficient:

  1. Unplug the ice maker from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the ice basket and wash it with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Clean the interior of the water reservoir and ice-making components with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild detergent and water. For hard-to-reach areas, a soft brush or Q-tip can be used.
  4. Rinse the interior thoroughly with clean water, ensuring no detergent residue remains.
  5. Drain all water through the drain plug.
  6. Dry all accessible parts with a clean, soft cloth.

Descaling (for Hard Water Areas)

If you live in an area with hard water, mineral deposits can build up over time, affecting ice quality and machine performance. Descale your ice maker monthly or as needed:

  1. Empty the ice maker and ensure it is clean.
  2. Mix a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling agent according to its instructions.
  3. Pour the descaling solution into the water reservoir.
  4. Run the self-cleaning cycle (long-press "ICE/CLEAN" for 5 seconds).
  5. After the cycle, drain the solution completely.
  6. Rinse the reservoir thoroughly by filling it with clean water and running the self-cleaning cycle again, then draining. Repeat this rinsing process 2-3 times to ensure all descaling solution is removed.
