4. Setup
4.1 Wiring Diagram
The module supports both 4-wire and 5-wire AC motors. Ensure proper wiring for safe and correct operation. The module can be hidden in most electrical boxes or junction boxes.

Image: Wiring diagrams showing connections for the module with and without a traditional panel switch. The top diagram shows connection with a panel switch, and the bottom diagram shows connection without a panel switch, both for AC 100V~240V and an AC motor.
Note: This module is compatible with 4-wire motors (2 input phase wires, 1 neutral wire, and 1 ground wire) and 5-wire motors with an integrated drive unit. No additional wiring is required for the module itself once installed correctly.
4.2 APP Pairing (Tuya / Smart Life)
Follow these steps to pair the module with the Tuya or Smart Life application:
- Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is enabled.
- Power on the WIFI curtain module. The blue indicator light should blink, indicating it is automatically in "Network Pairing Mode".
- If the blue indicator light is not blinking, reset the device: Press and hold the learning button on the WIFI curtain module for approximately 10 seconds until the blue indicator light blinks. This confirms the device is in "Network Pairing State".
- Open the "Tuya" or "Smart Life" APP on your phone.
- The WIFI curtain module icon should appear on the APP interface. Follow the instructions on the APP interface to complete the pairing.
- If the icon does not appear, click "Add Device" and select the "Curtain Module" icon.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Methods
The DieseRC Smart Roller Shutter Controller Module offers three control methods:
- APP Control: Use the Tuya or Smart Life app on your smartphone (Android and iOS) to control the roller shutters from anywhere with an internet connection.
- RF Remote Control: Utilize the included 433MHz RF remote control for local operation within a range of approximately 30-50 meters indoors.
- Manual Switch: Continue to use your traditional wall switch for direct control.

5.2 Voice Control (Alexa / Google Home)
The WIFI switch is compatible with Amazon Alexa (Amazon Echo / Dot / Spot) and Google Home, allowing for voice commands. Ensure your device is properly linked within the Tuya/Smart Life app to your voice assistant.
Example commands:
- "Alexa, open the curtain."
- "Hey Google, close the roller shutter."
- "Alexa, set the curtain to 50%."

5.3 Percentage Control and Timer Function
The APP provides advanced control features:
- Percentage Function: Adjust the roller shutter to a specific percentage (e.g., 50% open).
- Timer Function: Set schedules for automatic opening and closing of your roller shutters.
- Limited Movement Setting: Configure the movement length from bottom to top to ensure the motor automatically stops at the desired end position.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the module and remote control. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Battery Replacement (Remote Control): The remote control uses a 27A 12V battery. The battery can be replaced after disassembling the remote. The battery typically lasts about 3 years.
- Relay Lifespan: The high-quality relay in the WIFI switch is designed for over 400,000 operations.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the module within the specified temperature range of -30°C to +80°C. Avoid exposure to extreme moisture or direct sunlight.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Module not entering pairing mode (blue light not blinking):
Solution: Press and hold the learning button on the WIFI curtain module for approximately 10 seconds until the blue indicator light blinks. This will reset the device and put it into "Network Pairing State".
- APP cannot find the device:
Solution: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is enabled. Make sure the module is in pairing mode (blue light blinking). If still not found, try restarting the APP or your phone. You may also need to manually add the device by clicking "Add Device" and selecting "Curtain Module" in the Tuya/Smart Life APP.
- RF remote control not working:
Solution: Ensure the remote control battery (27A 12V) is not depleted. Re-attempt RF signal pairing as described in Section 4.3. If the issue persists, clear the RF signal memory (see Section 7.2) and re-pair.
- Voice control not responding:
Solution: Verify that the module is successfully paired with the Tuya/Smart Life APP and that the APP is linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home account. Check your internet connection and ensure your voice assistant device is online.
- Motor not responding or moving incorrectly:
Solution: Check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and correct according to the diagram in Section 4.1. Ensure the motor type (4-wire or 5-wire with integrated drive) is compatible. If using percentage control, verify the limited movement settings in the APP.
7.2 Clearing RF Signal Memory
To clear all paired RF remote controls from the module's memory:
- Press the learning button on the module 8 times.
- The data will be cleaned successfully. You can then re-pair any remote controls as needed.
