4. Setup Guide

4.1. Charging the Doorbell

Before first use, fully charge the doorbell using the provided USB cable. The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

4.2. Installing the MicroSD Card (Optional)

Insert a MicroSD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the designated slot for local video storage. Ensure the card is inserted correctly.

4.3. App Download and Setup

  1. Download the Xodo App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your XODO VD2 doorbell. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the doorbell or manually entering its ID.
  4. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.

4.4. Chime Setup

Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the wireless chime. The chime will automatically pair with the doorbell once both are powered on and within range. You can place the chime in various locations within your home, such as the living room, kitchen, or bedroom.

4.5. Physical Installation

  1. Choose a suitable location near your front door, ensuring good Wi-Fi signal strength.
  2. Mount the bracket to the wall using the provided screws and wall anchors.
  3. Slide the doorbell onto the mounted bracket until it clicks securely into place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Live View and Two-Way Audio

Open the Xodo App on your smartphone to access the live video feed from your doorbell. Tap the microphone icon to initiate two-way audio communication with visitors at your door.

5.2. Motion Detection Alerts

The built-in PIR motion sensor will detect human movement and send instant notifications to your Xodo App. You can adjust motion sensitivity settings within the app to minimize false alerts.

5.4. Video Playback and Storage

Recorded videos can be accessed and played back through the Xodo App. If a MicroSD card is installed, recordings are stored locally. Cloud storage options are also available with a free trial period.
