1.2 Charging Your Earbuds

Before first use, ensure your Beats Studio Buds + and their charging case are fully charged. Place the earbuds into the charging case. Connect the USB-C to USB-C charging cable to the charging case and then to a compatible USB power adapter.

1.3 Pairing with Your Device

Beats Studio Buds + offer enhanced compatibility with both Apple and Android devices for seamless pairing.

1. With the earbuds in the charging case, open the lid.
2. For Apple devices: Hold the case near your unlocked iPhone or iPad. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect.
3. For Android devices: Download the Beats app from the Google Play Store. Open the app and follow the instructions to pair your earbuds. Alternatively, go to your device's Bluetooth settings and select 'Beats Studio Buds +' from the available devices.

1.4 Finding Your Fit

A proper fit is crucial for optimal sound quality and noise cancellation. Your Beats Studio Buds + come with four pairs of silicone ear tips (XS, S, M, L) to ensure a comfortable and secure seal.

• Experiment with different ear tip sizes to find the one that provides the best seal and comfort for your ears.
• Insert the earbud into your ear and gently rotate it downwards until it forms a secure fit and an acoustic seal.

2.1 On-Device Controls

Each earbud features a multi-function button that allows you to manage calls and control music playback.

• Single Press: Play/Pause audio, Answer/End call.

3. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and performance of your Beats Studio Buds +.

3.1 Cleaning Your Earbuds and Case

• Gently wipe the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use abrasive materials, aerosols, or cleaning sprays directly on the product.
• Remove ear tips and clean them separately with water and mild soap if necessary, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.

3.2 Sweat and Water Resistance

The Beats Studio Buds + are IPX4-rated for sweat and water resistance, making them suitable for workouts and light rain. They are not designed for water sports or submersion. The charging case is not sweat or water resistant.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Beats Studio Buds +, refer to the following common solutions.

4.1 Connectivity Issues

• Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the charging case and the case has sufficient charge. Open the lid and try pairing again. For Android, ensure the Beats app is installed and updated.
• Frequent disconnections: Ensure your device is within the Bluetooth range (up to 100 meters). Avoid strong interference sources. Try resetting the earbuds by placing them in the case, closing the lid for 10 seconds, then opening it again.
• Audio skipping: This can be caused by interference or being out of range. Try moving closer to your device or restarting both the earbuds and your audio source.

4.2 Sound Quality Issues

• Low volume or poor sound: Ensure the ear tips provide a proper seal. Try different ear tip sizes. Clean any debris from the ear tips or earbud nozzles.
• Noise Cancelling not working: Ensure ANC is enabled via the on-device controls or your device's settings. Check for a proper earbud fit. If one earbud's ANC stops working, ensure it is charged.

4.3 Charging Issues

• Earbuds not charging: Ensure the earbuds are correctly seated in the charging case. Check that the charging cable is securely connected to both the case and the power adapter. Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
• Charging case not charging: Verify the charging cable and power adapter are functional. Ensure the charging port on the case is clean and free of debris.

4.4 Microphone Issues

• Recipient cannot hear you clearly: Ensure the microphones are not obstructed. Check your device's audio input settings to confirm the Beats Studio Buds + are selected. In noisy environments, the earbuds' noise filtering might reduce your voice slightly; try to speak clearly.
