2. Important Safety Instructions
Always read all instructions before using this appliance. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces. Use only on dry surfaces.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
- Use only as described in this manual. Use only Dyson recommended attachments.
- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.

4. Setup
Assembly
1. Connect the wand to the main body of the vacuum until it clicks securely into place.
2. Attach your preferred cleaner head (Motorbar or Fluffy Optic) to the end of the wand, ensuring it clicks firmly.
Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge your Dyson V12 Detect Slim Origin. Plug the charger into the docking station or directly into the battery port on the main body. The LCD screen will display the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 4.5 hours.
5. Operating Your Vacuum
Power Modes
Your Dyson V12 Detect Slim Origin offers three power modes to suit different cleaning tasks:
- Eco Mode: Provides the longest run time (up to 60 minutes) for lighter cleaning tasks and everyday spills.
- Auto Mode: Intelligently adapts suction power based on floor type and debris level, optimizing run time and performance.
- Boost Mode: Delivers maximum suction power for intensive spot cleaning and stubborn dirt, with a shorter run time.
To switch between modes, press the button on the top of the main body.
Laser Illumination Technology
The Fluffy Optic cleaner head features a precisely angled laser that reveals microscopic dust on hard floors, ensuring you don't miss anything. This technology helps you achieve a more thorough clean by making invisible dust visible.

Emptying the Bin
To empty the dust bin, hold the vacuum over a trash can and push the red lever located on the side of the bin. The bin will open, and the debris will fall out. Close the bin firmly after emptying.

The Dyson V12 Detect Slim Origin comes with various attachments designed for specific cleaning needs. Easily detach the wand and cleaner head to use the main body as a handheld vacuum with tools like the Hair Screw Tool for pet hair and upholstery, or the Crevice Tool for tight spaces.
