1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the BOXPUT BPR3S Plus remote control. This device combines 2.4G wireless technology, Bluetooth connectivity, voice control, air mouse functionality, and IR learning capabilities to provide a versatile control solution for your Android TV boxes, TV sticks, and other compatible ATV devices. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
2. Product Features
- Dual Connectivity: Supports 2.4G radio frequency wireless with a USB receiver and Bluetooth (BT) for flexible device connection.
- Voice Input: Integrated voice assistant for searching TV programs. Voice function works in BT mode for some ATV devices (e.g., TCL Smart TV, Shield TV Box, HAKO mini, Google TV) and in 2.4G mode for AOSP Android and ATV devices. Note: Voice search is limited to built-in voice input search boxes or compatible apps.
- Air Mouse Function: Features a 6-axis gyroscope sensor for precise cursor control on screen, ideal for navigating computers, smart projectors, and entertainment equipment. Firmware update to PC version may be required for PC use.
- IR Learning: All buttons support IR learning, allowing you to program functions from other infrared remotes. If IR learning is not configured, buttons operate in BT or 2.4G mode. Once IR learning is complete, the power button prioritizes sending the IR signal.
- 4-Key IR Isolation: Four dedicated TV buttons (Power, Mute, Input, Volume) offer IR isolation, enabling simultaneous control of your TV and streaming device without disconnecting Bluetooth. These buttons default to Samsung TV IR code values but can be customized via IR learning.
- Wide Compatibility: Compatible with most Android streaming media devices, excluding Fire Stick, DVB Box, ROKU Box, MAG Box, Apple Box, and some LG/Samsung TVs.

- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 2.4G Pairing

Figure 5.1: Illustration of the 2.4G pairing process with the USB receiver.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your device (e.g., Android TV Box, TV Stick, PC).
- Keep the remote control within 50 cm (approximately 20 inches) of the USB receiver for faster pairing. The remote should automatically connect.
5.3 Bluetooth Connection

Figure 5.2: Visual guide for initiating Bluetooth pairing on the remote control.
- To pair with a new device, press the "OK" button and the "Back" button simultaneously until the indicator light on the remote flashes.
- Keep the remote control within 1 meter (approximately 3 feet) of the device for faster pairing.
- On your device, open the Bluetooth settings, search for available devices, and select "BOXPUT | BPR3S Plus" to connect.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Air Mouse Function
The BPR3S Plus features a 6-axis gyroscope sensor for air mouse functionality. Hold the remote and move your wrist to control the cursor on the screen. This is particularly useful for navigating interfaces on computers, smart projectors, and other compatible devices. For optimal PC use, ensure the remote firmware is updated to the PC version.
6.2 Voice Input
- In BT Mode: The voice function is compatible with certain ATV devices such as TCL Smart TV, Shield TV Box, HAKO mini, and Google TV. It may not be compatible with all AOSP devices.
- In 2.4G Mode: The voice function supports both AOSP Android and ATV devices.
- Usage: Press the Voice button on the remote and speak your command or search query. The voice search function operates within the built-in voice input search boxes or compatible applications, and cannot function across all applications.
6.3 IR Learning (All Buttons)

Figure 6.1: Diagram illustrating the IR learning process between two remote controls.
The BPR3S Plus allows all its buttons to learn infrared (IR) signals from another remote control. This enables customization of button functions. If no IR learning is performed, all buttons will function in their default BT or 2.4G mode. Once IR learning is completed for a button, that button will prioritize sending the IR signal.
- Place the BPR3S Plus remote and the original remote control head-to-head, approximately 1-3 cm apart.
- Press and hold the button on the BPR3S Plus that you wish to program for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
- While the indicator light is flashing, press the corresponding button on your original remote control. The indicator light on the BPR3S Plus will flash three times and then remain solid, indicating successful learning.
- Repeat the process for any other buttons you wish to program.
- To exit IR learning mode, press any button that has not been programmed, or wait for 10 seconds for the remote to automatically exit.
Important Notes:
- The four dedicated TV buttons (Power, Mute, Input, Volume) have default Samsung TV IR code values. You can change these via IR learning to match your specific TV.
- Other buttons do not support learning special code values found on some Samsung or LG remote controls.
- IR learning is compatible with all AOSP devices and some ATV devices and Smart TVs.
6.4 Four Keys IR Isolation

Figure 6.2: Highlight of the four TV buttons with IR isolation functionality.
The BPR3S Plus features four dedicated TV buttons (Power, Mute, Input, Volume) that support IR isolation. This allows you to control your television using infrared signals while simultaneously controlling your streaming device via Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless, without interference or the need to switch modes. These buttons can be programmed via IR learning to control your specific TV.
7. Maintenance
- Keep the remote control clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the remote to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
- Do not drop or subject the remote to strong impacts.
- If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
8. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Check if the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient power. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your device for 2.4G mode.
- For Bluetooth mode, verify that the remote is paired and within range of your device. Re-pair if connection is lost.
- Air mouse cursor is erratic or unresponsive:
- Ensure the remote is held steadily and not subjected to excessive shaking.
- For PC use, consider updating the remote's firmware to the PC version as specified in the product features.
- Voice input not working:
- Verify that your device and application support voice input from the remote.
- Check if the voice function is compatible with your device's operating system (ATV vs. AOSP) and the current connection mode (BT vs. 2.4G).
- Ensure you are using the voice search within a built-in search box or compatible app.
- IR learning fails:
- Ensure the BPR3S Plus and the original remote are placed very close (1-3 cm) and directly facing each other during the learning process.
- Confirm that the original remote's batteries are functional and sending a strong IR signal.
- Remember that some special code values from certain Samsung/LG remotes may not be learnable by all buttons.
- Select key does not work in normal mode:
- The select key's functionality may be dependent on the air mouse mode. If the select key only works after activating the air mouse, this is expected behavior for some configurations.
- For PC use, updating the remote firmware to the PC version might alter this behavior.
