6. Operating Principles

The Erinice HEPA filters are engineered for high-efficiency filtration. They are capable of capturing 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. This includes common household allergens such as dust mites, pet dander, pollen, and mold spores, contributing to a cleaner and healthier indoor environment.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Filter

For optimal performance and to extend the life of your filter, it is recommended to wash the filter once a month. Follow these steps:

  1. Remove the filter from the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Tap the filter gently over a waste bin to remove loose dust and debris.
  3. Rinse the filter under lukewarm running water until the water runs clear. You may use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove stubborn dirt.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the vacuum cleaner. Ensure it is thoroughly dry to prevent mold growth and damage to the vacuum.

7.2 Replacement Frequency

For optimal performance and air quality, it is recommended to change the filter every 2-3 months. In households with children, pets, or smokers, more frequent replacement (e.g., every 1-2 months) may be necessary due to increased dust and allergen load.

8. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues after replacing your filter, consider the following:

  • Reduced Suction: Ensure the filter is correctly installed and fully dry. A wet or improperly seated filter can restrict airflow.
  • Unusual Odor: This may indicate the filter was not completely dry before reinstallation, leading to mold or mildew. Re-clean and ensure thorough drying.
  • Filter Not Fitting: Double-check your vacuum cleaner model against the compatibility list in Section 3.

Regular cleaning and timely replacement are key to preventing most filter-related issues.
