3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Charging the Device
Before initial use, fully charge the Sena 10S headset. Connect the provided USB power & data cable to the headset's charging port and a USB power source. A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours. The LED indicator will change color to indicate charging status.

3.2 Mounting on a Helmet
The Sena 10S can be mounted on most motorcycle helmets using the included clamp kit. Follow these general steps:
- Loosen the screws on the back of the clamp unit.
- Slide the clamp unit between the outer shell and the inner padding of your helmet, positioning it on the left side.
- Tighten the screws to secure the clamp.
- Attach the main headset unit to the clamp.
- Install the speakers inside the helmet, aligning them with your ears. Use the Velcro pads if necessary.
- Connect the microphone (boom or wired) to the headset unit and position it appropriately for clear voice pickup.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Phone Button and the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Power Off: Tap the Phone Button and the Jog Dial simultaneously.
4.2 Volume Control
Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
4.3 Bluetooth Pairing (Smartphone)
To pair your smartphone with the Sena 10S for music, GPS, and phone calls:
- With the headset off, press and hold the Phone Button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue alternately.
- On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for devices.
- Select 'Sena 10S' from the list of found devices.
- If prompted, enter '0000' for the PIN.
4.4 Intercom Communication
The Sena 10S supports intercom communication with up to 4 riders. Ensure all devices are powered on and within range.
- Pairing with another Sena headset: Press and hold the Jog Dial of both units for 5 seconds until the LEDs flash red. Tap the Jog Dial on either unit to complete pairing.
- Starting/Ending Intercom: Tap the Jog Dial once to start or end a conversation with the first paired intercom friend. Tap twice for the second, and three times for the third.
4.5 Music Streaming and Phone Calls
- Play/Pause Music: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Answer/End Call: Tap the Phone Button.
- Voice Dial: Press and hold the Phone Button for 3 seconds.
5. Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Sena 10S headset, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage internal circuits.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device.
- Clean the microphone and speaker grilles gently with a soft, dry cloth.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Sena 10S, try the following steps:
- No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and check if the charging indicator lights up.
- No Sound/Low Volume: Check volume settings on both the headset and your connected device. Ensure speakers are correctly positioned.
- Intercom Not Connecting: Verify both units are powered on and within range. Re-attempt intercom pairing.
- Bluetooth Disconnection: Ensure your paired device is within range. Try re-pairing the device.
- Resetting the Device: If issues persist, perform a factory reset (refer to the full user manual for specific instructions on your model).
