4. Setup

3. Pull the line through until an equal amount extends from both sides of the head.
4. Twist the trimmer head knob clockwise to wind the line into the head. Continue twisting until only 5-6 inches of line extend from each side.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Engine (Zip Start Carburetor)

1. Place the trimmer on a flat, clear surface.
2. Set the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
3. Prime the carburetor bulb 10 times or until fuel is visible.
4. Set the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE position.
5. Pull the starter rope firmly and steadily until the engine attempts to start (usually 1-3 pulls).
6. Once the engine attempts to start, move the choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position.
7. Pull the starter rope again until the engine starts.
8. Allow the engine to run for 10-15 seconds, then move the choke lever to the RUN position.

• Use a sweeping motion, moving the trimmer from side to side.

• Avoid contact with hard objects, fences, or trees to prevent damage to the line and trimmer head.
