4.1 Fueling the Trimmer
- Ensure the engine is off and cool before refueling.
- Mix fresh unleaded gasoline with 2-stroke engine oil at the ratio specified in your engine's manual (typically 50:1 or 40:1). Use a clean fuel container.
- Carefully remove the fuel cap.
- Pour the mixed fuel into the fuel tank, being careful not to overfill.
- Securely replace the fuel cap and wipe up any spilled fuel.
4.2 Loading Trimmer Line (Reel-Easy Head)
The Reel-Easy bump-feed head simplifies line loading:
- Align the arrows on the trimmer head with the eyelets.
- Insert a new length of 0.095 in. trimmer line through one eyelet and push it straight through until it exits the opposite eyelet.
- Pull the line through until an equal amount extends from both sides of the head.
- Twist the trimmer head knob clockwise to wind the line into the head. Continue twisting until only 5-6 inches of line extend from each side.
