Initial Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove both the kettle and toaster from their packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or disposal.
  2. Inspection: Check both appliances for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. First Cleaning:
    • Kettle: Fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum level, boil it, then discard the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
    • Toaster: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Operate the toaster empty for a few cycles at the highest browning setting to burn off any manufacturing odors. Ensure good ventilation during this process.
  4. Placement: Place the kettle and toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the countertop and out of reach of children. Ensure sufficient clearance around the appliances for ventilation.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cords into grounded wall outlets.

Care and Cleaning

Always unplug both appliances from the power outlet and allow them to cool completely before cleaning.

General Cleaning:

Kettle Descaling:

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle, affecting its performance. Descale regularly, especially in hard water areas.

  1. Fill the kettle with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water, or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer if the scale is heavy.
  3. Pour out the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  4. Boil fresh water in the kettle and discard it to remove any residual vinegar taste.
