2. SuperIR Image Enhancement

The E01 features SuperIR technology to enhance the thermal image resolution. This function upscales the native 96x96 IR resolution to 240x240 pixels for a clearer view. This setting can typically be toggled in the device's menu.

3. SuperScene Detection Technology

SuperScene technology assists in automatically identifying potential issues like water leaks or insulation defects. This feature uses advanced algorithms to highlight areas of concern on the thermal image. Refer to the on-screen indicators for identified anomalies.

5. Color Palettes

The device offers multiple color palettes (e.g., Rainbow, Ironbow, Black Hot, White Hot) to visualize temperature differences. Select the palette that best suits your inspection environment and highlights the thermal patterns most effectively.

6. Capturing and Storing Images

Press the capture button (refer to the Quick Start Guide for exact button location) to save a radiometric image. The E01 has 4GB of internal storage, capable of storing over 30,000 images. Images can be transferred to a computer using the provided USB-C cable.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Device

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution specifically designed for optics. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Store the camera in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods. Recharge the battery periodically if stored for a long time.

3. Storage

Store the thermal camera in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent damage from impacts or environmental factors. The device is rated IP54 for dust and splash protection and offers 2m drop protection.

Troubleshooting

Frequent Recalibration

If the device frequently recalibrates when moving the view quickly, this is a characteristic of some thermal imaging devices to maintain accuracy. For stable readings, try to move the camera more slowly across the inspection area. If the issue persists or affects normal operation, ensure the firmware is up to date. Contact HIKMICRO technical support if necessary.

Image Clarity Issues

Ensure SuperIR is enabled for enhanced resolution. Check that the lens is clean and free from dust or smudges. Environmental factors like fog or extreme humidity can also affect thermal image clarity.

Device Not Powering On

Verify that the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to a power source using the provided USB cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on again.
