4.3 Measurement Modes
The device offers six distinct measurement modes. Press the 'M' (Mode) button to cycle through these modes.

Figure 6: Overview of Measurement Modes
4.3.1 Continuous Measurement Mode
Allows for real-time scanning of distances to multiple objects. Press and hold the Power/Measurement button while scanning across the landscape to get continuous distance updates. Useful for identifying distances to hazards or multiple targets quickly.

4.3.2 Slope Compensation Mode
Measures the actual distance and calculates the slope-adjusted distance, providing a recommended playing distance for uphill or downhill shots. This feature can be toggled ON/OFF for competition compliance.

4.3.3 Pin Lock Mode (Flagpole Lock)
Designed to easily lock onto the flagstick, even with trees or other objects in the background. When multiple objects are detected, the device prioritizes the closest object (the flagstick) and vibrates to confirm the lock.

4.3.4 3-Point Distance Measurement Mode
This mode allows you to measure the distance between any two points in space. For example, you can measure the distance from your position to a point, then from that point to another, and the device will calculate the distance between the two points. Useful for complex course layouts or when a direct line of sight is obstructed.

4.3.5 Fog Mode
Optimizes measurement in adverse weather conditions such as fog or light rain by filtering out interference. This ensures more accurate readings when visibility is reduced.

4.3.6 Horizontal/Vertical Measurement Mode
Provides precise horizontal and vertical distances, useful for applications beyond golf, such as forestry or construction.
