3. Installation and Setup

3.1. Package Contents

Before installation, verify that all components are present:

3.2. Mounting the Monitor

Choose a suitable location indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the monitor's weight.

  1. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the drilling points on the wall.
  2. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
  3. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
  4. Before attaching the monitor, complete all necessary wiring connections.

3.3. Wiring Connections

Ensure power is disconnected before making any wiring connections. Refer to the wiring diagram for proper connection of cameras, interphones, and power.

  1. Connect the outdoor camera unit(s) to the designated camera input ports on the monitor.
  2. If using interphones, connect them to the interphone ports.
  3. For multi-unit installations, an MD-KAM4 distributor may be required (as shown in Figure 3.2).
  4. Connect the AC power cable (AC 100V-240V) to the monitor and then to a power outlet.
  5. Carefully attach the monitor to the mounted bracket.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: The monitor powers on automatically when connected to power. There is no dedicated power button.
  • Answering a Call: When a visitor presses the call button on the outdoor unit, the monitor will ring and display the visitor's image. Press the Answer button (typically a phone icon) to initiate video talk.
  • Monitoring: Press the Monitor button (typically an eye or camera icon) to view the outdoor camera feed without a call.
  • Door Lock Release: During a call or while monitoring, press the Door Lock button (typically a key icon) to remotely unlock the connected door.
  • Interphone Communication: If interphones are connected, press the Interphone button (if available) to communicate with other indoor units.

4.2. Touch Button Functions

The monitor features blue light touch buttons for various functions. Refer to the icons on the monitor for specific actions:

  • Person Icon: Likely for visitor call or general settings.
  • Circle Icon: Could be for monitoring or menu access.
  • Key Icon: For door lock release.
