3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Making a Call

• A visitor presses the call button corresponding to the desired residential unit on the DR-6UM panel.
• The indoor intercom unit (e.g., DP-SS) in the resident's apartment will ring.

3.2 Answering a Call

• When the indoor unit rings, the resident picks up the handset or presses the talk button (depending on the indoor unit model).
• Two-way audio communication is established between the DR-6UM outdoor unit and the indoor unit.

3.3 Door Release (if applicable)

• If an electric door strike is connected to the system (as shown in Figure 2) and the indoor unit supports door release, the resident can press the door release button on their indoor unit to unlock the entrance.
