5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Turning On/Off
Press the POWER button to turn the dehumidifier on or off.
5.2 Selecting Operating Mode
Press the MODE button to cycle through the available operating modes:
- Auto Mode: The unit automatically adjusts fan speed and dehumidification based on the set target humidity. This is ideal for maintaining a comfortable humidity level.
- Continuous Mode: The dehumidifier runs continuously regardless of the ambient humidity. This mode is highly effective for rapid dehumidification, such as drying laundry or in very damp conditions.
- Sleep Mode: The fan operates at a low speed (quiet operation, less than 41 dB) and the display lights dim, making it suitable for use in bedrooms or quiet environments.

Image: Visual representation of the three operating modes: Auto Mode (fan speed and humidity adjustable), Continuously Drying Mode (runs continuously for damp environments), and Sleep Mode (runs quietly below 36dB).
5.3 Setting Target Humidity
In Auto Mode, press the HUM SET button to set your desired humidity level between 30% and 80% in 5% increments. The unit will operate until the target humidity is reached, then cycle on/off to maintain it.

5.6 Child Lock Function
Press and hold the LOCK button for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the child lock. When active, the control panel buttons will be unresponsive to accidental touches.
5.7 Drainage Options
Your AirOrig dehumidifier offers two convenient drainage methods:
5.7.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)
The unit features a large 4.5L water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate to prevent overflow. To empty:
- Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
- Carefully empty the collected water into a sink or drain.
- Slide the empty water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The dehumidifier will resume operation.
5.7.2 Continuous Drainage
For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, use the included drain hose.
- Locate the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit.
- Connect one end of the supplied 1-meter drain hose to this port.
- Ensure the other end of the hose is placed into a suitable drain or larger container, ensuring it is lower than the drainage port for gravity flow.
- Once connected, water will continuously drain from the unit, bypassing the internal water tank.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your dehumidifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. A dirty filter can reduce efficiency and airflow.
- Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter at the rear air intake of the unit.
- Gently pull out the filter.
- Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, wash it with warm, soapy water.
- Rinse the filter thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not expose to direct sunlight or high heat.
- Slide the dry filter back into its slot.

- Wash the tank with mild detergent and warm water.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing it back into the dehumidifier.
6.3 General Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.
- Ensure the unit is completely dry before plugging it back in.
