Maintenance
Water Resistance
Your G-Shock GA2100SB-1A is water resistant to 200 meters (20 BAR). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and shallow diving. Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged. Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.
Cleaning
Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and mild soap solution, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry completely. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses a CR2016 battery. Battery life varies depending on usage. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have battery replacement performed by an authorized service center to ensure proper water resistance sealing.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low. Replace the battery.
- Analog hands do not match digital time: Perform hand alignment correction as described in the Setup section or refer to the full manual.
- Watch stops functioning after exposure to water: Ensure all buttons were not operated while submerged. Contact an authorized service center for inspection.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable) or that the battery is not critically low.
