Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your hobtop safely:

1. Before First Use: Ensure all packaging materials are removed and the hobtop is clean.
2. Lighting a Burner (Auto Ignition):
   • Place a cooking vessel on the pan support over the desired burner.
   • Push down the corresponding control knob and rotate it counter-clockwise to the "Ignite" position (usually marked with a spark symbol or maximum flame).
   • The auto-ignition will spark, lighting the burner. Hold the knob down for a few seconds after ignition to allow the flame to stabilize.
   • Once lit, release the knob and adjust the flame intensity by rotating the knob between the maximum and minimum flame settings.
3. Manual Lighting (if auto-ignition fails): If auto-ignition does not work, hold a lit match or gas lighter near the burner while pushing down and rotating the knob to the "Ignite" position.
4. Turning Off a Burner: Rotate the control knob clockwise to the "Off" position (usually marked with a dot or zero). Ensure the flame is completely extinguished.
5. Flame Adjustment: Adjust the flame size according to your cooking needs. A stable blue flame indicates efficient combustion.
