3. Setup Instructions
- Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC power input port on the rear of the docking station and then plug it into a wall outlet.
- Connect to Laptop: Use the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the docking station's USB-C host port (on the rear) to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop. Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports video output and power delivery for full functionality.
- Connect Peripherals:
- Displays: Connect external monitors to the HDMI or DisplayPort outputs on the rear of the dock using appropriate cables.
- USB Devices: Connect USB keyboards, mice, external drives, or other USB devices to the USB 3.0 ports on the front of the dock.
- Network: For a wired internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the Ethernet port on the rear of the dock.
- Memory Cards: Insert SD or Micro SD cards into the corresponding slots on the front panel.
- Power On: Press the power button on the front of the docking station. The indicator light should illuminate, confirming the device is powered on. Your laptop should detect the connected peripherals and displays automatically.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Connecting and Disconnecting
- To connect your laptop, simply plug the USB-C host cable into your laptop's USB-C port. The dock will automatically establish connections for power, video, data, and network.
- To disconnect, safely eject any connected storage devices from your operating system first. Then, simply unplug the USB-C host cable from your laptop.
4.2 Display Configuration
Once external monitors are connected, you can configure their display settings through your operating system:
- Windows: Right-click on the desktop, select "Display settings," and arrange or extend your displays as needed.
- macOS: Go to "System Preferences" > "Displays" to adjust resolution, arrangement, and mirroring options.
4.3 Power Delivery
The docking station can provide power to your connected laptop via the USB-C host cable, charging it while you work. The power output is up to 100 Watts. Ensure your laptop supports USB-C Power Delivery for this feature to function.
