Setup

Preparing the Cleaning Solution

1. Ensure your Shark Carpet Cleaner is unplugged before filling tanks.
2. Remove the clean water tank from your Shark Carpet Cleaner.
3. Fill the clean water tank with water up to the indicated fill line. Do not use water hotter than 140°F (60°C).
4. Add the Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula (System Formula 1) to the concentrate section of the clean water tank, up to the MAX fill line.
5. If using the StainStriker OXY Multiplier (System Formula 2) for enhanced stain removal, fill its dedicated compartment on the handheld tool or machine as per your specific model's instructions.
6. Securely close all tank caps and reinsert the tanks into the cleaner.

Operating Instructions

General Use

1. Pre-Vacuum: Always vacuum the area thoroughly before deep cleaning to remove loose dirt and debris.
2. Power On: Plug in the cleaner and press the power button.
3. Select Mode: Choose between 'Deep Clean Mode' for thorough cleaning or 'Quick Dry Mode' for faster drying times. For faster drying, use Quick Dry Mode after Deep Clean Mode.
4. Cleaning Passes: Make slow, overlapping passes over the area to be cleaned. Press the spray trigger to apply solution on forward passes and release it on backward passes to extract dirty water.

Using the Hand Tool for Spot & Stain Removal

1. Attach Hand Tool: Connect the StainStriker hand tool to the hose port on your Shark Carpet Cleaner. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
2. Activate Hand Tool Mode: On the main unit, switch the lever or select the appropriate mode for hand tool operation (refer to your specific model's quick start guide).
3. Apply Solution: Position the hand tool over the stain. Press the spray trigger to apply the cleaning solution directly onto the stained area.
4. Scrub: Use the integrated brush on the hand tool to gently scrub the stain, working the solution into the fibers.
5. Extract: Release the spray trigger and apply downward pressure while pulling the hand tool slowly over the treated area to extract the dirty solution.
6. Repeat: For stubborn stains, repeat the spray, scrub, and extract steps until the stain is removed.
