4.2 Installation Steps

1. Prepare the Sink Flange: Apply plumber's putty around the underside of the sink flange and press it firmly into the sink opening.
2. Assemble Mounting Ring: From underneath the sink, slide the fiber gasket, backup flange, and mounting ring onto the sink flange. Secure with the snap ring.
3. Connect Electrical: Connect the EZ Connect Hardwire Adapter to the disposal's electrical port. If using a power cord (sold separately), connect it here.
4. Attach Disposal to Mounting Assembly: Align the disposal with the mounting ring. Use the Lift and Latch technology to easily lift and twist the disposal onto the mounting ring until it locks into place.
5. Connect Drain Line: Attach the discharge tube to the disposal and connect it to your household drain line.
6. Connect Dishwasher (Optional): If connecting a dishwasher, remove the EZ Removable Dishwasher Inlet Plug using the included wrenchette and connect the dishwasher drain hose.

5. Operating Instructions

• Turn on Water: Always turn on a medium stream of cold water before and during disposal operation.
• Activate Disposal: Flip the wall switch or press the air switch to turn on the disposal.
• Feed Food Waste: Gradually feed food waste into the disposal opening. The 3-Stage MultiGrind technology will process tough scraps into fine particles.
• Continue Running: Allow the disposal and water to run for a few seconds after grinding is complete to flush the drain line.
