The Amazon Basics Key Finder (Model TTIF06A) is a convenient system designed to help you locate misplaced items quickly. It includes a remote control and six smart trackers that respond to signals within a 100 ft (30 m) range with an 80dB alarm.

Setup
1. Activating the Receivers and Remote:
Before first use, pull out the clear plastic insulation tab from each receiver and the remote control. This activates the pre-installed CR2032 batteries.
2. Attaching Receivers to Items:
- Using Key Rings: Attach the receivers to keys, pet collars, or other items using the provided key rings.
- Using Mounting Tape: For items without a loop or hole, use the double-sided adhesive mounting tape. Peel one side of the tape and apply it to the back of the receiver. Ensure not to cover the sound outlet. Peel the other side and attach the receiver to your desired item (e.g., remote control, wallet, phone).
3. Attaching the Remote Control (Transmitter):
The remote control can be placed in its stand or attached to a surface using the provided fastening tape. Apply the black tape fastener to the back of the remote control, then attach the corresponding fastener to your desired surface.

4. Labeling Items (Optional):
Use the blank stickers to write down which item each color-coded receiver is attached to. This helps in quick identification when using the remote control.

Operating the Key Finder
Locating a Misplaced Item:
- Identify the color-coded button on the remote control that corresponds to the item you wish to locate.
- Press the corresponding color button on the remote control.
- The receiver attached to your item will respond within 2-3 seconds by emitting an 80dB alarm sound and flashing an LED light.
- Follow the sound and flashing light to find your item. The tracking distance is up to 100 ft (30 m).

Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
The key finder system uses CR2032 batteries. The remote control and receivers include long-lasting batteries (up to 6 months in standby mode after insulation tab removal).
- Low Battery Warning: A constant "ticking" noise from a receiver with no response from the remote control indicates low battery power.
- To replace the battery in the remote control or a receiver, push the included SIM-eject tool (or a paper clip) into the small battery eject hole. This will release the battery compartment.
- Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery.
- Install a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the polarity symbols (+/-) on the battery match the symbols in the holder.
- Push the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Troubleshooting
- Receiver not responding or alarm is weak:
- Check if the receiver's battery is low. Replace the CR2032 battery if necessary.
- Ensure the receiver is within the 100 ft (30 m) operating range of the remote control.
- Verify that the correct color-coded button on the remote control is being pressed for the desired receiver.
- Ensure there are no significant obstructions (e.g., thick walls, metal objects) between the remote and the receiver that could interfere with the RF signal.
- Remote control not working:
- Check the remote control's battery. Replace the CR2032 battery if needed.
- Ensure the insulation tab was fully removed from the remote control's battery compartment.
