4. Setup and Charging

Before first use, fully charge the pool cleaner.

4.1 Initial Charging

1. Ensure the cleaner is dry and clean before charging.
2. Connect the charging cable to the cleaner's charging port.
3. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
4. The indicator light on the cleaner will show charging status. A full charge typically takes 3.5 hours.

4.2 Pre-Operation Check

• Ensure the filter basket is clean and properly installed.
• Check that the brushes are free from debris.

5. Operating Instructions

The ZT6002 offers multiple cleaning modes for optimal pool maintenance.

5.1 Selecting a Cleaning Mode

The cleaner features an intuitive control dial on top to select your desired cleaning mode:

• Automatic Mode: Cleans both the pool floor and walls. The robot will prioritize floor cleaning when battery is over 50%, then switch to wall and waterline cleaning when battery is below 50%.
• Floor Only Mode: Focuses solely on cleaning the pool floor.
• Wall Only Mode: Concentrates on cleaning the pool walls and waterline.

5.2 Deploying the Cleaner

1. Once the desired mode is selected, gently lower the cleaner into the pool.
2. Ensure the cleaner sinks to the bottom. Air bubbles may escape as it fills with water.
3. The cleaner will begin its cleaning cycle automatically.

5.3 Retrieval

After the cleaning cycle is complete or the battery is low, the cleaner will typically float to the surface or stop near a wall.

1. Use the provided retrieval hook to gently pull the cleaner towards the edge of the pool.
2. Lift the cleaner out of the water using its handle. The quick-water release feature will drain excess water.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your pool cleaner.

6.1 Cleaning the Filter Basket

It is recommended to clean the filter basket after each use.

1. Open the top cover of the cleaner to access the filter basket.
2. Remove the filter basket.
3. Empty collected debris and rinse the basket thoroughly with a garden hose.
4. Ensure the filter basket is completely clean before re-installing.

6.2 General Care and Storage

• Wipe down the exterior of the cleaner with a soft, damp cloth.
• Inspect the brushes and wheels for wear or damage.
• Store the cleaner in a shaded, dry area when not in use, especially during off-season.
• Ensure the battery is charged to at least 50% before long-term storage.
