4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the borescope using the provided USB charging/data cable. Connect the USB-C end to the borescope's charging port and the USB-A end to a compatible power adapter (not included) or computer USB port. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4.2 Inserting the TF Card

The borescope supports a TF (Micro SD) card for storing photos and videos. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the display unit, open the rubber cover, and insert the TF card until it clicks into place. Ensure the device is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a circle and vertical line) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
• To power off: Press and hold the Power button again until the screen turns off.

5.2 Basic Navigation and Settings

• Menu Button (M): Press to access the main menu for settings like resolution, language, date/time, temperature unit, and auto-shutdown.
• OK Button: Confirm selections in the menu or take photos/start recording in live view.
• Up/Down Buttons: Navigate through menu options or zoom in/out during live view.
• Light Adjustment: Use the dedicated light button (often a sun icon) to cycle through different brightness levels of the LED lights on the camera probe.

5.3 Photo and Video Capture

• Photo Mode: In live view, press the OK button or the dedicated Photo/Video button on the handle to capture a still image.
• Video Mode: Press the Mode button (M) to switch to video recording mode. Then, press the OK button or the Photo/Video button to start recording. Press again to stop.
• All captured media is saved to the inserted TF card.

• Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.

• Poor image quality: Clean the camera lens. Adjust the LED light brightness. Ensure the object is within the optimal focal distance (approx. 5cm).
• Cannot save photos/videos: Ensure a TF card is inserted and has sufficient free space. Check if the TF card is formatted correctly (FAT32 recommended).
• Device overheating: The borescope has a high-temperature protection system. If it overheats (above 80°C), it will automatically shut down. Allow it to cool down before resuming use. Avoid exposing the probe to temperatures exceeding 70°C (158°F).
