1. Introduction

The AutoSky Vehicle GPS Tracker (Model AVT-200) provides continuous real-time location tracking for your vehicle. Designed for seamless integration, this device offers enhanced security and peace of mind by keeping you informed about your vehicle's whereabouts. It is hard-wired directly into your vehicle's power source, ensuring uninterrupted operation without the need for battery recharging.

Utilize the user-friendly AutoSky+ app to access detailed route history, set up GeoFence alerts, and view real-time location data directly from your mobile device. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your AutoSky GPS tracker.

2. What's in the Box

Your AutoSky Vehicle GPS Tracker package includes the following components:

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Hardwire Installation

The AutoSky GPS Tracker is designed for direct integration with your vehicle's power source, eliminating the need for battery charging. Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Connect the Black cable: Connect the black cable with the ground terminal on your car's battery.
  2. Connect the Red cable: Connect the red cable to the positive terminal on your car's battery.
  3. Position the GPS: Open up the windshield molding on the side of the car's battery. This is where the GPS device will be placed.
  4. Secure the GPS: Place the GPS inside the windshield molding, clip on the cable to the GPS to power it on, and close the windshield molding.

3.2 App Download and Activation

To begin tracking, download the AutoSky+ app and activate your device:

  1. Download the App: Search for "AutoSky+" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the application.
  2. Create an Account: Follow the in-app instructions to create your AutoSky+ account.
  3. Add Your Tracker: Within the app, add your new AVT-200 GPS tracker by following the device pairing instructions.
  4. Activate Subscription: Choose a subscription plan that suits your needs. Details on plans are available in Section 5.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Real-Time Tracking

The AutoSky GPS Tracker provides constant real-time tracking, delivering your vehicle's location updates directly to your device via the AutoSky+ app. The app displays the current location, speed, and ignition status of your vehicle.

4.2 GeoFence Alerts

Create virtual boundaries (GeoFences) on the map within the AutoSky+ app. You will receive instant notifications when your vehicle enters or exits these predefined areas. This feature is ideal for monitoring specific locations or ensuring a vehicle stays within a designated zone.

4.3 Shock and Overspeed Alerts

The tracker provides immediate notifications for unusual events. Receive alerts on your phone for:

  • Shock Alerts: Notifies you if the vehicle experiences a significant impact or shock.
  • Overspeed Alerts: Informs you if the vehicle exceeds a preset speed limit.
  • SOS Notifications: If available, an SOS button on the device can send immediate alerts to pre-selected contacts.

4.4 Route History

Access detailed route history through the AutoSky+ app. Review previous trips, including routes taken, speeds, mileage, and time-driven data. This allows for comprehensive monitoring and analysis of vehicle usage.

5. Subscription Information

A subscription is required to utilize the full tracking capabilities of your AutoSky GPS Tracker. Subscription prices start at $16.99 per month for the month-to-month option. You can lower this to $8.99 per month by selecting a 36-month annual subscription. All plans allow you to modify the time interval for location updates via the AutoSky+ app.

6. Maintenance

If you encounter issues with your AutoSky GPS Tracker, consider these common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Location Updates: Check the device's power connection to the vehicle battery. Ensure your subscription is active and not expired. Verify cellular signal strength in the vehicle's current location.
  • Inaccurate Location: Ensure the device is placed in a location with clear line-of-sight to the sky for optimal GPS signal reception. Avoid placing it under heavy metal objects.
  • App Issues: Try restarting the AutoSky+ app or reinstalling it. Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection.
  • Alerts Not Received: Check your app notification settings to ensure alerts are enabled. Verify that GeoFences and speed limits are correctly configured.
