4. Setup and Installation

4.1 LATCH Installation
- Locate the lower LATCH anchors in your vehicle.
- Extend the self-retracting one-click LATCH connectors from the car seat base.
- Attach the LATCH connectors to your vehicle's lower anchors. Ensure you hear a click, indicating a secure connection.
- Push down firmly on the car seat base to remove any slack from the LATCH strap.
- Check the red-to-green tightness indicators on the base. The indicator should turn completely green when the base is securely installed.
- Test the installation by pulling on the base at the belt path. It should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back.

4.2 Vehicle Belt Installation
- Place the car seat base on the vehicle seat.
- Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt path on the car seat base.
- Buckle the vehicle belt.
- Engage the integrated belt lock-off mechanism by lifting the blue lever and feeding the vehicle belt through it.
- Push down firmly on the car seat base while pulling the shoulder belt to remove all slack. The red-to-green indicator should turn completely green.
- Test the installation by pulling on the base at the belt path. It should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back.

4.3 Adjusting Base Angle (3-Position Height Adjustability)
The base features 3-position height adjustability to achieve the correct recline angle for your infant car seat in your vehicle.
- Before or after securing the base, locate the recline adjustment handle.
- Squeeze the handle and adjust the base to one of the three positions until the angle indicator shows the correct recline for your infant's age and the vehicle's seat angle.
