Unpacking and Components
Carefully unpack all components and ensure the following items are present:

Unit Dimensions
Refer to the diagram below for the dimensions of the indoor and outdoor units to ensure proper placement and installation.

Installation Guidelines
This is a split-system air conditioner requiring professional installation. Ensure the installation area meets the minimum width requirement of 96 cm for the indoor unit. The copper condenser coil ensures better cooling and requires low maintenance. Always ensure proper grounding and electrical connections are made by a qualified technician.
Operating Instructions
Remote Control
The air conditioner is controlled via the provided remote control. Familiarize yourself with the buttons for power, mode selection (Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry), temperature adjustment, fan speed, and special features.
Operating Modes and Features
- Hot & Cold Function: This AC provides both heating and cooling capabilities, making it suitable for year-round use. It operates effectively within an ambient temperature range of -15°C to 52°C.

Maintenance
Filter Clean Indicator
The unit features a Filter Clean Indicator that alerts you when the air filter requires cleaning. Regularly cleaning the filter is crucial for maintaining air quality and the efficiency of the AC.

General Cleaning and Care
- Air Filter: Clean the air filter regularly (e.g., every two weeks or when indicated) to ensure optimal airflow and cooling/heating performance. Refer to the detailed cleaning instructions in the included user manual.
- Outdoor Unit: Keep the outdoor unit clear of obstructions, dust, and debris to ensure proper heat exchange.
- Indoor Unit: Wipe the surface of the indoor unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Copper Condenser Coil: The 100% copper condenser coil is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance. However, periodic professional inspection is recommended.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Hitachi AC, please refer to the following basic troubleshooting steps before contacting customer service.
- AC not turning on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if the circuit breaker has tripped. Ensure batteries in the remote control are functional.
- Insufficient cooling/heating: Verify that the correct mode is selected and the temperature setting is appropriate. Clean the air filter if it is dirty. Ensure no obstructions are blocking the indoor or outdoor units.
- Unusual noises: Minor operational sounds are normal. If you hear loud or unusual noises, turn off the unit and contact customer support.
- Water leakage: Check if the drain hose is properly connected and not blocked. Ensure the indoor unit is installed level.
