Assembly
The DEERC BF-109 RC Plane comes mostly pre-assembled. Follow these steps to prepare for flight:
- Attach Landing Gear: Carefully insert the wire ends of the landing gear into the designated slots on the underside of the aircraft's wings. Ensure they are securely fastened.
- Install Tail Wing: The tail wing slides into a slot at the rear of the fuselage. Ensure it is firmly in place.
- Propeller Check: Verify that the main propeller and any smaller propellers are securely attached and free from damage. Spare propellers are provided for replacement if needed.
Battery Charging & Installation

- Aircraft Battery: Connect the 3.7V 350mAh rechargeable battery to the USB charging cable. Plug the USB cable into a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter). The indicator light on the USB cable will show charging status. Charging typically takes 60-90 minutes.
- Remote Control Batteries: The remote control requires 2 AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert the batteries, observing correct polarity.
- Installation: Once fully charged, carefully open the battery compartment on the underside of the aircraft. Connect the battery to the aircraft's power port and secure it inside the compartment.
Remote Control Overview

The 2.4GHz remote control allows for precise control and a range of up to 656 feet. It features a 3-channel control system for 3D flight practice.
- Left Stick: Controls throttle (up/down) and rudder (left/right).
- Right Stick: Controls elevator (pitch up/down) and ailerons (roll left/right).
- Speed Switch: Allows switching between high and low speeds.
- Trimming Buttons: Used to fine-tune the aircraft's flight path if it drifts.

Pre-Flight Checklist
- Ensure both aircraft and remote control batteries are fully charged.
- Confirm all parts (landing gear, tail wing, propellers) are securely attached.
- Check that control surfaces (ailerons, elevator) respond correctly to remote control inputs.
- Select an open, clear outdoor area free from obstacles, people, and animals.
- Check wind conditions; avoid flying in strong winds.
Operating Instructions

The 6-axis gyro stabilization system provides enhanced stability, making the aircraft easy to control even for beginners.
Take-Off Methods

Image: The DEERC BF-109 RC Plane illustrating two take-off methods: hand-thrown and ground take-off using the included landing gear.
- Hand-Thrown Take-Off: Hold the aircraft firmly, engage the throttle to full power, and gently toss it forward into the wind. The gyro will assist in stabilizing the flight.
- Ground Take-Off: Place the aircraft on a smooth, flat surface. Engage the throttle gradually and steer with the rudder until it gains enough speed to lift off.
Basic Controls
- Throttle (Left Stick Up/Down): Increases or decreases engine power.
- Rudder (Left Stick Left/Right): Controls yaw (left/right turning).
- Elevator (Right Stick Up/Down): Controls pitch (nose up/down for climbing/descending).
- Ailerons (Right Stick Left/Right): Controls roll (tilting wings left/right for banking turns).
Advanced Maneuvers
With practice, the 3-channel control system allows for various maneuvers:
- Loops: Gain altitude, then apply full elevator (right stick down) while maintaining sufficient throttle.
- Banking Turns: Use ailerons (right stick left/right) to roll the aircraft, then apply a small amount of elevator to maintain altitude through the turn.

Maintenance

Image: The DEERC BF-109 RC Plane with callouts emphasizing its durable EPP foam construction, high toughness, and tail stirring gear regulation system.
- Cleaning: Wipe the aircraft clean with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners.
- Propeller Inspection: Regularly check propellers for any damage (cracks, bends). Replace damaged propellers immediately using the provided spares.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or over-discharge. Disconnect batteries from the aircraft when not in use.
- EPP Foam Repair: The aircraft is made of lightweight elastomeric foam, which is durable. In case of minor damage, specialized foam glue can be used for repairs.
Troubleshooting
