1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new chandelier. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning installation and retain it for future reference.

1.1 Safety Information

  • Always turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker before beginning installation or performing any maintenance.
  • Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about the installation process.
  • Ensure all electrical connections are secure and comply with local codes and ordinances.
  • Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified for the bulbs.

2. What's in the Box

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation. It is recommended to have two people for installation due to the size and weight of the fixture.

4.1 Pre-Installation

  1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Carefully unpack all components and inspect for any damage.
  3. Identify all parts using the "What's in the Box" section.

4.2 Assembling the Fixture

  1. Determine Desired Height: The chandelier comes with 1 x 7.9'' and 2 x 11.8'' extension rods. You can combine these rods to achieve your desired hanging height. For higher ceilings, additional rods may be available upon request from KCO Lighting.
  2. Attach Rods: Screw the selected extension rods together and then attach them to the main fixture body and the canopy.
  3. Install Glass Globes: Carefully screw each smoke gray glass globe onto its respective E26 socket on the linear bar. Ensure they are finger-tight but do not overtighten.

4.3 Mounting the Fixture

  1. Install Mounting Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to your ceiling junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Wire Connections: Connect the chandelier's wires to your household electrical wires.
    • Connect the live (black) wire from the fixture to the live (black) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the neutral (white) wire from the fixture to the neutral (white) wire from the junction box.
    • Connect the ground (green or bare copper) wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box.
    • Secure all connections with wire nuts.
  3. Secure Canopy: Carefully push the wired fixture up towards the ceiling, aligning the canopy with the mounting bracket. Secure the canopy to the mounting bracket using the provided screws or nuts.
  4. Sloped Ceilings: This chandelier includes a universal buckle/sloped ceiling adapter, allowing for secure installation on sloped, vaulted, or flat ceilings.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the chandelier is fully installed and secured, you can restore power at the circuit breaker.

  • Turning On/Off: Operate the chandelier using your standard wall switch.
  • Bulb Replacement: The chandelier uses E26 base bulbs. The included bulbs are non-dimmable. If you wish to use dimmable functionality, you must replace the included bulbs with dimmable E26 bulbs and install a compatible dimmer switch (not included).

6. Maintenance and Care

Regular cleaning will help maintain the appearance and performance of your chandelier.

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning, ensure the power is turned off and the fixture has cooled down. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the metal parts. For the glass globes, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth to prevent water spots. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Bulb Replacement: When replacing bulbs, ensure the fixture is cool and power is off. Unscrew the glass globe, then carefully unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new E26 bulb (max 60W). Reattach the glass globe.
