Its design allows for adjustable height and compatibility with sloped, vaulted, slanted, or flat ceilings.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Dimensions and Adjustable Height

The chandelier's length is 43.3 inches (110 cm), and each shade is 5.9 inches (15 cm) in diameter. The fixture comes with multiple rods (7.9"/20cm, 11.8"/30cm, 11.8"/30cm) allowing for a maximum hanging height of 31.5 inches (80 cm) and a minimum height of 7.9 inches (20 cm). Additional rods can be requested from the seller if needed.

4.2 Installation Steps

  1. Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where you will install the fixture.
  2. Prepare Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Assemble Rods: Determine your desired hanging height. Connect the appropriate combination of extension rods to the fixture body and the canopy. The fixture is compatible with sloped ceilings, allowing for flexible installation.
  4. Wire Connections: Carefully connect the fixture's wires to the household electrical wires according to standard wiring practices (usually black to black, white to white, and ground to ground). Secure connections with wire nuts.
  5. Mount Fixture: Carefully lift the fixture and secure the canopy to the mounting plate with the provided screws.
  6. Install Glass Globes and Bulbs: Gently attach each smoke gray glass globe to the fixture. Insert the E26 base bulbs into the sockets.
  7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the KCO Lighting Linear Globe Chandelier operates like any standard light fixture controlled by a wall switch. If connected to a compatible dimmer switch and using dimmable E26 bulbs, the light output can be adjusted.

  • Turning On/Off: Use your wall switch to turn the chandelier on or off.
  • Dimming Function: If you have installed dimmable E26 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, you can adjust the brightness by operating the dimmer switch.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your chandelier.

6.1 Cleaning

  • Always disconnect power before cleaning.
  • Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.
  • For glass globes, a mild glass cleaner can be used, applied to a cloth first, not directly to the glass.
