4. Compatibility

This EZoneTronics Retrofit Kit is designed for specific Toyota vehicles equipped with the Entune 2.0 or Touch 2 System (must be Panasonic/Fujitsu/Pioneer head units). It does NOT support vehicles with a factory navigation system.

Before installation, it is recommended to provide a picture of your vehicle's central control screen to EZoneTronics support to confirm compatibility.

5. Setup and Installation

The EZoneTronics Retrofit Kit features a plug-and-play design for a non-destructive installation. No wire cutting or modifications are required. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Preparation: Ensure your vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before beginning any installation work to prevent electrical shorts or damage. Carefully remove the vehicle's central control unit/head unit from the dashboard. Refer to your vehicle's specific service manual for instructions on safely removing the head unit.
  2. Connect Main Unit 24-PIN: Connect the provided power harness to the original car's main unit 24-PIN connector.
  3. Connect Main Unit 10-PIN: Connect the power harness to the original car's main unit 10-PIN connector.
  4. Connect Car's Plug 28-PIN: Connect the power harness to the original car's 28-PIN plug.
  5. Connect Car's Plug 10-PIN: Connect the power harness to the original car's 10-PIN plug.
  6. Connect Car's Plug 24-PIN: Connect the power harness to the original car's 24-PIN plug.
  7. Forward Looking Input: If installing a front camera, connect it to the designated forward looking input on the harness.
  8. Camera Power Supply: Connect the camera power supply as indicated on the harness.

  11. WIFI Antenna: Connect the WIFI antenna to the retrofit kit for wireless connectivity. Position it in a location that ensures optimal signal reception.
  12. Secure Components: Once all connections are made, secure the retrofit kit and excess wiring to prevent rattling or interference. Reinstall the vehicle's head unit and dashboard components.
  13. Initial Setup: After re-connecting the battery, start the vehicle. You may need to disable your car's default Bluetooth connection to ensure your phone connects directly to the CarPlay/Android Auto box.
