This device is designed to convert 12V DC power from your vehicle's battery into 110V AC power, allowing you to operate various electronic devices on the go. Setup

The BESTEK 500W Power Inverter can be connected to your vehicle's 12V power source in two ways:

Method 1: Using the Cigarette Lighter Plug (for loads up to 150W)

  1. Ensure the inverter's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Insert the cigarette lighter plug cable firmly into the inverter's DC input port.
  3. Plug the other end of the cigarette lighter plug into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.
  4. Proceed to the Operating Instructions section.

Method 2: Using Battery Clamps (for loads up to 500W)

This method is recommended for higher power devices or when the cigarette lighter socket cannot provide sufficient power.

  1. Ensure the inverter's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the red battery clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the inverter.
  3. Connect the black battery clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the inverter.
  4. Connect the red battery clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
  5. Connect the black battery clamp to the negative (-) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
  6. Ensure all connections are secure and tight.
  7. Proceed to the Operating Instructions section.

Operating Instructions

Once the inverter is properly connected to your vehicle's power source:

  1. Turn on the inverter by flipping the power switch to the "ON" position. The power indicator light should illuminate.
  2. Plug your AC-powered devices into the 110V AC outlets or your USB-powered devices into the USB charging ports.
  3. Ensure the total power consumption of your devices does not exceed the inverter's continuous power rating (500W).
  4. When finished, turn off the inverter and disconnect your devices.
  5. Disconnect the inverter from the vehicle's power source.

Troubleshooting

The inverter is equipped with various protection features indicated by the power/fault LED. Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions:

  • Connected device exceeds 500W
  • Device has high surge power
  • Reduce load, use lower wattage device
  • Check device's starting wattage
Green LED flashing (Under/Overvoltage Protection)
  • Vehicle battery voltage too low or too high
  • Check vehicle battery voltage. Recharge if low.
  • Ensure vehicle is running if using high loads.
Red & Green LED flashing alternately (Over Temperature Protection)
  • Inverter is overheating
  • Blocked ventilation
  • Allow inverter to cool down
  • Ensure proper ventilation, clear obstructions
  • Reduce load
Steady Red LED (Short Circuit Protection)
  • Short circuit in connected device or wiring
  • Disconnect all devices and check for short circuits.
  • If problem persists, contact support.
