Operating Instructions
Filling the Clean Water Tank
To prepare your cleaner for use, remove the clean water tank located at the top of the unit. Unscrew the yellow cap and fill the tank with hot tap water (up to 140°F/60°C MAX) to the indicated 'WATER' line. Then, add the recommended BISSELL cleaning formula up to the 'FORMULA' line. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the cleaner until it clicks into place.

Deep Cleaning Carpets
Plug the cleaner into a grounded outlet. Press the power button located at the base of the unit. Recline the handle by pressing the foot release pedal. To apply cleaning solution, press the spray trigger while making a slow forward and backward pass over the carpet. Release the trigger and make another slow forward and backward pass over the same area to suction up the dirty solution. For heavily soiled areas, repeat the process. The 10-inch cleaning path ensures efficient coverage.

The wide 10-inch cleaning path allows for efficient deep cleaning of large carpeted areas.
For targeted cleaning of upholstery, stairs, or tight spaces, attach the 3-inch Tough Stain Tool or the Spraying Crevice Tool to the hose. Follow the same spray and suction method for effective spot cleaning.

The 3-inch Tough Stain Tool effectively tackles spots and stains on upholstery.

The Spraying Crevice Tool is ideal for cleaning baseboards, stairs, and other hard-to-reach areas.
Maintenance
Emptying the Dirty Water Tank
When the dirty water tank reaches the 'FULL' line, or when you notice a decrease in suction, it's time to empty it. Remove the dirty water tank from the lower part of the cleaner. Unlatch the grey stopper and pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.

Cleaning the Brush Roll and Nozzle
For optimal performance, regularly clean the brush roll and nozzle. The nozzle is removable for easy rinsing. The 4-Row DeepReach PowerBrush can also be accessed and cleaned to remove any trapped hair or debris. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on removing and reattaching these components.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- Tank fills up quickly: This is normal, especially on heavily soiled carpets. Empty the dirty water tank frequently to maintain optimal suction.
- Cord needs to be longer: If the included cord length is insufficient for your cleaning area, a suitable extension cord can be used. Always ensure the extension cord is rated for the appliance's power requirements and is used safely.
- Hair gets stuck in brush: Always vacuum the carpet thoroughly before using the deep cleaner to remove loose hair and debris. Regularly clean the brush roll as per maintenance instructions.
- Suction isn't great: Check both the clean and dirty water tanks to ensure they are properly seated and not full. Inspect the nozzle and brush roll for any clogs or blockages.
- Strange smell during operation: This could indicate residue buildup in the dirty water tank or hose. Ensure all tanks and removable parts are thoroughly cleaned after each use.
- Tank hard to remove: Ensure you are pressing the release latches firmly and correctly. If the tank is full, it might be heavier and require a bit more effort.
