3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Device

The GAIATOP Fabric Shaver can be powered by either a USB connection or AA batteries. Both methods can be used simultaneously.

Using USB Power:

  1. Locate the USB Type-C port on the device.
  2. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the shaver's port.
  3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power source, such as a power bank, laptop, or USB wall adapter.

Installing AA Batteries:

Note: 2 AA batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the shaver.
  2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Turning On/Off

Press the power button located on the top of the shaver to turn the device ON. Press it again to turn the device OFF.

4.2 Using the Fabric Shaver

  1. Place the fabric you wish to treat on a flat, firm surface. Ensure the fabric is smooth and free of wrinkles to prevent damage.
  2. Gently press the shaver head onto the fabric. Do not apply excessive pressure, as this can damage the fabric or the shaver.
  3. Move the shaver in small, circular motions or short, sweeping strokes over the pilled or linted areas.
  4. Periodically check the lint collection bin and empty it when it becomes full to maintain optimal performance.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fabric shaver.

5.1 Emptying the Lint Collection Bin

  1. Ensure the shaver is turned OFF.
  2. Gently twist or slide the lint collection bin to detach it from the main body of the shaver.
  3. Empty the collected lint into a waste bin.
  4. The lint bin can be rinsed with water for thorough cleaning. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.

5.2 Cleaning the Blades and Shaver Head

  1. Ensure the shaver is turned OFF and the lint bin is removed.
  2. Carefully twist and remove the shaver head (grille) to expose the blades.
  3. Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove any lint or debris from the blades and the inside of the shaver head.
  4. Do not use water directly on the blades or motor area.
  5. Once clean, carefully reattach the shaver head, ensuring it clicks securely into place. The safety lock feature will prevent operation if not properly secured.

6. Troubleshooting

Turn off the device, re-secure the shaver head, then turn it back on.
Connect to USB power or replace batteries.
