Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Kegland Series X Plus Kegerator. This compact refrigeration unit is designed for efficient storage and dispensing of beverages, accommodating up to eight Cornelius kegs or two 50-liter commercial kegs. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your new kegerator. Safety Information

Electrical Safety:

Ensure the power outlet is properly grounded and matches the voltage requirements of the unit.
Do not operate the kegerator with a damaged power cord or plug.
Avoid using extension cords; if necessary, use a heavy-duty, grounded extension cord rated for the appliance's power consumption.
Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

Verify that all components are present and undamaged upon unpacking. The Series X Plus Base Unit includes:

Setup Instructions

Unpacking and Placement:
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Place the kegerator on a flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.
Install Castor Wheels:
Attach the six castor wheels to the bottom of the kegerator. Ensure the three locking wheels are positioned at the front for stability.

Install CO2 Cylinder Holder:
Secure the KL00192 CO2 Cylinder Holder to the rear or side of the kegerator using the provided hardware. This holder is designed to accommodate a 2.6kg gas cylinder.
Install Regulator:
Attach the KL07429 MK4 KegLand Regulator to your CO2 cylinder. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent gas leaks. Connect the gas line from the regulator to your kegs (kegs and gas lines not included).
Install Drip Trays:
Place the two KL00192 Black Plastic Wrap Around Drip Trays beneath your tap setup (taps sold separately) to catch any drips.
Install Guard Rail:
Attach the KL26840 Chrome Plated Guard Rail to the top of the kegerator to prevent items from falling off.
Internal Dimensions:
The internal dimensions allow for flexible keg arrangements. The unit can hold up to 8 Cornelius kegs or 2 x 50L commercial kegs.

Operating Instructions

Power On:
Plug the kegerator into a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will begin to cool.
Temperature Control:
Use the digital temperature controller (located inside the unit, typically near the top) to set your desired temperature. Refer to the controller's specific instructions for detailed programming. Optimal serving temperature for most beers is between 2-4°C (35-40°F).
Loading Kegs:
Carefully place your filled kegs inside the kegerator. Connect the liquid and gas lines to the appropriate keg posts.
CO2 Pressure Setting:
Adjust the MK4 KegLand Regulator to the recommended serving pressure for your beverage (typically 10-12 PSI for most beers). Consult specific beverage guidelines for precise pressure settings.
Dispensing:
Once the kegs are chilled and pressurized, you can begin dispensing. Pull the tap handle forward to pour.

Maintenance

Regular Cleaning:
Clean the interior of the kegerator regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Drip Tray Cleaning:
Empty and clean the drip trays frequently to prevent mold and odors.
Defrosting:
The Series X Plus Kegerator features an automatic defrost system. If excessive ice buildup occurs, manually defrost the unit by unplugging it and leaving the door open until ice melts. Ensure to place towels to absorb water.
Line Cleaning:
Regularly clean your beer lines to prevent bacterial growth and off-flavors. Refer to specific beer line cleaning instructions and products.
