5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Initial Connection to Vehicle

The Herilary C7 AI Box requires a vehicle equipped with genuine wired CarPlay (model year 2016 or later is generally compatible). To verify compatibility, connect your iPhone to your car's USB port using a Lightning cable and confirm if CarPlay activates.

1. Ensure your vehicle's engine is off.
2. Connect the Herilary C7 AI Box to your car's USB port (the one used for wired CarPlay) using the provided USB cable. Ensure the cable is firmly inserted into both the car's port and the AI Box.
3. Place the AI Box in a stable location within your vehicle.
4. Start your vehicle. The AI Box should automatically boot into the Android system on your car's display.

5.2 Wireless CarPlay Connection

1. On the main unit screen, tap the "SpeedPlay" icon located in the bottom right corner.
2. On your smartphone, turn on Bluetooth. Search for "AI-Box" in the list of available devices and connect to it.
3. Your smartphone will display a pairing request window (e.g., "Pair with AIBox?"). Tap "Pair" to confirm.
4. After successful connection, the wireless CarPlay system screen will be displayed on your car's monitor.

5.3 Wireless Android Auto Connection

Note: Before using Android Auto, ensure the latest Android Auto app is installed on your smartphone. Also, confirm that wireless Android Auto is enabled in your Android Auto app settings.

1. On the main unit screen, tap the "SpeedPlay" icon located in the bottom right corner.
2. On your smartphone, turn on Bluetooth. Search for "AI-Box" in the list of available devices and connect to it.
3. Your smartphone will display a pairing request window (e.g., "Pair with AIBox?"). Tap "Pair" to confirm.
4. The main unit screen will display "Connecting". Please wait briefly. After successful connection, the wireless Android Auto screen will be displayed.

5.4 Mobile Hotspot Connection

1. Enable the mobile hotspot feature on your smartphone.
2. Ensure the Herilary C7 AI Box is connected to your car and has booted into the Android system.
3. On the AI Box, navigate to "Settings" > "Network & Internet" > "Wi-Fi".
4. Find your smartphone's hotspot name in the list and tap to connect.

Note: Some SIM cards may not achieve 4G network connectivity due to regional frequency band limitations or weak signal strength. If using a mobile hotspot, ensure its frequency band is set to 2.4 GHz for optimal compatibility, as 5 GHz bands may not be fully supported in all regions.
