4. Setup Instructions

  1. Connect to Laptop: Plug the integrated USB-C cable from the docking station into a full-function USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 port on your laptop.
  2. Connect Power Adapter (Optional but Recommended): For stable operation and laptop charging, connect your laptop's original USB-C power adapter (or a compatible PD charger) to the PD charging port on the docking station. The docking station supports up to 100W input, with an 85W output to your laptop for safety.
  3. Connect External Displays: Connect your monitors to the HDMI and/or DisplayPort outputs on the docking station using appropriate cables.
  4. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, external drives), Ethernet cable, SD/Micro SD cards, and audio devices as needed.

The docking station is plug-and-play; no additional drivers are required for most functions. Your operating system should automatically detect the connected devices.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Multi-Monitor Display Configuration

The docking station supports various display modes, including Mirror (Duplicate) and Extend, allowing you to connect multiple external monitors.

5.1.1. Windows OS Display Settings

For Windows systems, you can achieve triple extended displays. The docking station supports 4 multi-screens (laptop screen + 3 external displays) in extended mode. For collage mode (specific triple display setup), it supports one HDMI output, one HDMI + DP output, and one laptop screen.

  1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings."
  2. Under "Multiple displays," you can arrange your displays, change resolution, and select display modes (Extend these displays, Duplicate these displays, Show only on 1, Show only on 2, etc.).
  3. Adjust the resolution and refresh rate for each monitor as desired.

5.1.2. macOS Display Settings

Important Note for macOS: macOS does not support Multi-Stream Transport (MST). Therefore, when connecting multiple external monitors to a macOS laptop via this docking station, all external monitors will display the same content (mirror mode) or an extended display where all external monitors show the same extended desktop. True triple extended displays (different content on each external monitor) are not supported on macOS.

  1. Go to "System Settings" (or "System Preferences" on older macOS versions).
  2. Click on "Displays."
  3. Here you can arrange your displays, change resolution, and select between "Mirror Displays" or "Use as separate display" (Extended Display).

5.2. Data Transfer

The docking station features two USB-C 3.1 ports and one USB-A 3.1 port, all capable of high-speed data transfer up to 10Gbps. Additionally, two USB-A 2.0 ports are available for connecting standard peripherals like keyboards and mice.

5.3. Power Delivery (PD) Charging

The dedicated USB Type-C PD charging port supports up to 100W input from a compatible power adapter. This allows you to charge your laptop while using the docking station. For safety, the power output to your laptop is limited to 85W. Ensure your laptop and power adapter support USB Power Delivery.

5.4. Gigabit Ethernet

Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port for a stable and high-speed wired network connection, supporting speeds up to 1000Mbps. This is ideal for large file downloads or online gaming, offering a more reliable connection than Wi-Fi.

5.6. 3.5mm Audio Jack

Connect your headphones, speakers, or microphone to the 3.5mm audio port for convenient audio input/output.
