This manual provides detailed instructions to help you get the most out of your new camcorder.

VETEK Camcorder Accessories

Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the camcorder.
  2. Insert the two provided D batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.
  4. Connect the camcorder to the charging adapter using the USB cable. Plug the adapter into a power outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
  5. Charge the batteries fully before first use (approximately 2-3 hours).

2. SD Card Installation and Formatting

The camcorder supports SD cards (not included). A Class 10 or higher SD card up to 32GB is recommended for optimal performance.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the camcorder.
  2. Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To format the SD card (recommended for first use or if experiencing issues):
    • Turn on the camcorder.
    • Navigate to the 'Menu' settings.
    • Select 'Format' and confirm. This will erase all data on the card.

3. Initial Power On

Press and hold the 'POWER' button to turn on the camcorder. The LCD screen will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

Video Recording (1080P)

To record video:

  1. Ensure the camcorder is in video recording mode (indicated by an icon on the screen).
  2. Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
  3. Press the 'Record' button to start recording. A red indicator will typically appear.
  4. Press the 'Record' button again to stop recording.

Photo Taking (24MP)

To take photos:

  1. Switch to photo mode using the 'Mode' button.
  2. Frame your shot.

18X Digital Zoom

Use the zoom lever to digitally magnify your subject. Push the lever towards 'T' for telephoto (zoom in) and 'W' for wide (zoom out). Note that digital zoom may reduce image quality at higher magnifications.
