2. Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, observe the following:
- Read all instructions before installing and using this fan.
- Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance.
- This fan is designed for ceiling mounting only. Do not attempt to mount it on a wall or other surfaces.
- Mount only to a wooden joist capable of supporting the fan's weight.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- This fan is damp-rated, suitable for covered outdoor areas like carports or barns, but not for direct exposure to water or extreme weather.
- Keep hands, hair, and clothing away from moving parts to prevent injury.
- Do not insert fingers or any objects through the fan guard when the fan is operating.

4. Installation Instructions
The MULE Garage Fan is designed for easy, plug-in installation. No hardwiring or junction box is required.
4.1 Choose Mounting Location
Select a ceiling location with a sturdy wooden joist capable of supporting the fan's weight. Ensure there is a standard 3-prong outlet within reach of the 96-inch power cord. Many garages have a spare outlet near the garage door opener.
4.2 Install Universal Mounting Bracket
- Locate a wooden joist in your desired ceiling area.
- Position the universal mounting bracket against the joist.
- Using the two provided wood screws, securely fasten the mounting bracket to the joist. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached.

4.3 Attach Downrod to Fan Unit
- Choose either the 6-inch or 12-inch downrod based on your preferred mounting height.
- Connect the selected downrod to the fan unit, ensuring it is securely fastened.
4.4 Hang Fan Unit
- Carefully lift the fan unit with the attached downrod.
- Hook the downrod assembly onto the universal mounting bracket. Ensure it is properly seated and secure.

4.5 Connect Power
- Plug the fan's 3-prong power cord into a standard 120V AC outlet.
- Route the power cord safely, avoiding areas where it could be damaged or cause a tripping hazard.

5. Operation
5.1 Adjusting Fan Speed
The MULE Garage Fan features a 3-speed control knob located on the fan unit. Rotate the knob to select your desired airflow speed (1, 2, or 3). Position '0' turns the fan off.

5.2 Directing Airflow (360-Degree Swivel)
The fan unit can be manually swiveled up to 360 degrees and tilted to direct airflow precisely where needed. Use the adjustment knobs on the sides of the fan to secure it in your desired position.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
