5. Setup
5.1 Insert SIM Card and Battery
To begin using your phone, you need to insert the SIM card(s) and the battery.
- Ensure the phone is powered off.
- Locate the notch on the bottom edge of the phone. Carefully pry open the back cover using this notch.
- If the battery is already in place, remove it by lifting it from the bottom edge.
- Slide the SIM card(s) into the designated slot(s) with the gold contacts facing down. This model supports two SIM cards.
- Insert the battery, aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the contacts in the phone. Press down gently until it clicks into place.
- Replace the back cover by aligning it with the phone's edges and pressing firmly until it snaps shut.

5.2 Charge the Battery
Your phone's battery may not be fully charged out of the box. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.
- Connect the charger to a wall outlet.
- Connect the charger cable to the Micro USB port on your phone.
- The battery indicator on the screen will show the charging status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the phone and then from the wall outlet.

The Nokia 105 offers up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 22 days of standby time on a full charge.
6. Operating Your Phone
6.1 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power key (usually the red 'End Call' key) until the Nokia logo appears.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power key, then select "Power off" from the options.
6.2 Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad and press the green 'Call' key.
- To Answer a Call: Press the green 'Call' key when the phone rings.
- To End a Call: Press the red 'End Call' key.
6.3 Sending Text Messages (SMS)
- Go to Menu > Messages > Create message.
- Type your message using the keypad.
- Select Options > Send.
- Enter the recipient's phone number or select from contacts.
