Setup and Assembly
Assembly typically requires two adults and can be completed within an hour. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in your physical assembly guide. Ensure you have a Phillips head screwdriver and an Allen wrench (usually included).
Step 1: Prepare the Area
Clear a spacious area for assembly. Lay out all components on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
Step 2: Assemble the Bed Frame
Begin by connecting the side rails to the headboard and footboard. Secure all connections with the provided hardware. Do not fully tighten until all major frame components are in place.

Step 3: Install Slats
Place the wooden slats across the bed frame. Ensure they are evenly spaced and secured according to the instructions. The slats provide direct support for your mattress, eliminating the need for a box spring.

Step 4: Assemble the Headboard
Attach the storage headboard components. The headboard features built-in shelves and a central upholstered panel. Ensure all connections are secure.

Step 5: Assemble and Insert Drawers
Assemble the four storage drawers according to the instructions. Once assembled, slide them into the designated compartments under the bed frame. The drawers are equipped with pulleys for smooth operation.

Operation and Use
Using the Storage Headboard
The headboard features open shelves for displaying items or storing frequently accessed belongings. The central upholstered panel can be lifted to reveal a hidden compartment for additional storage. Ensure items stored in the hidden compartment do not obstruct the closing mechanism.
Using the Under-Bed Drawers
The four drawers under the bed are designed for convenient storage of clothes, linens, or other bedroom items. They are equipped with pulleys for easy opening and closing. Distribute weight evenly within the drawers and do not exceed the 33 lbs weight capacity per drawer.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: For the wood surfaces, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For the upholstered headboard, spot clean with a mild fabric cleaner as needed. Refer to the "Dry Clean Only" instruction for the upholstered part if a deeper clean is required.
- Tightening Hardware: Periodically check all screws and bolts and tighten them to ensure the bed remains stable and secure.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the bed frame and within the drawers to prevent stress on individual components.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture: Protect the wood from prolonged exposure to moisture or extreme temperature changes.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed feels wobbly or unstable. | Loose hardware. | Check and tighten all screws and bolts. Ensure all connections are fully secured. |
| Drawers do not slide smoothly. | Obstruction in the track; uneven weight distribution; misaligned drawer. | Remove items from the drawer and check for obstructions. Redistribute contents evenly. Ensure the drawer is properly seated on its pulleys/tracks. |
| Squeaking noises. | Loose connections; friction between wood parts. | Tighten all hardware. Apply a small amount of furniture wax or silicone spray to contact points between slats and frame if necessary. |
| Headboard storage lid does not close properly. | Items obstructing the closing mechanism. | Ensure the storage compartment is clear of any items that prevent the lid from fully closing. |
