4. Setup
4.1 Powering On
- Connect the USB Type-C cable to the camera's power port.
- Plug the other end of the cable into the provided power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The camera will power on and indicate readiness for setup (e.g., a blinking LED).
4.2 App Installation and Account Creation
- Download the official Beafon Smart Home app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.
4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi
- In the Beafon app, tap on "Add Device" or the '+' icon.
- Select the Flexy 2F camera from the list of available devices.
- Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. The Flexy 2F supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
4.4 Micro SD Card Installation (Optional)
To enable local video recording, you can install a Micro SD card (up to 128 GB, not included).
- Locate the Micro SD card slot on the back of the camera (behind the 'PUSH' cover).
- Gently push the cover to open the slot.
- Insert the Micro SD card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
- Close the cover.
4.5 Mounting the Camera
The Flexy 2F features a magnetic base for flexible placement.
- Tabletop Placement: Simply place the camera on any flat surface. The magnetic base allows for easy adjustment of the camera's angle.
- Wall/Ceiling Mounting: Use the included adhesive pad to secure the camera to a clean, flat surface. Ensure the surface is suitable for adhesion. The magnetic base allows for 3600 rotation and flexible positioning after mounting.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View
Once connected, open the Beafon app and select your Flexy 2F camera to view the live feed. You can pan and tilt the camera view within the app to utilize its 3600 flexible orientation and 1100 wide-angle lens.
5.2 Two-Way Audio
The camera supports two-way audio communication. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker, and listen to audio from the camera's built-in microphone.
5.3 Motion Detection and Alarms
The Flexy 2F features automatic motion detection. When motion is detected, the camera can trigger an alarm and send push notifications to your smartphone. Configure motion detection sensitivity and notification settings within the app.
5.4 Night Vision
The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions, utilizing its infrared sensor to provide clear video up to 10 meters. This ensures continuous surveillance day and night.
5.5 Recording and Playback
If a Micro SD card is installed, the camera will record events based on your settings (e.g., continuous recording, motion-triggered recording). You can access and play back recorded footage directly from the Beafon app.

- Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct. Verify that your router is broadcasting on a supported frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). Move the camera closer to the router to improve signal strength.
- No live view: Check the camera's power connection. Ensure your internet connection is stable. Restart the camera and the Beafon app.
- Poor video quality: Ensure the camera lens is clean. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength; a weak signal can affect video quality.
- Motion detection not working: Verify that motion detection is enabled in the app settings. Adjust sensitivity levels if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view.
- Micro SD card not recognized: Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted correctly. Format the Micro SD card through the app settings if it's a new card or if issues persist.
