1. Product Overview

3. Product Structure

4. Setup

4.1 Stabilizing the Machine

Before beginning, ensure the knitting machine is stable on a flat surface. Use the provided suction cups to secure the machine firmly to prevent movement during operation. Press down on the machine to engage the suction cups.

4.2 Yarn Selection

The machine is compatible with yarn sizes between 1.5 mm and 5 mm. Thinner yarns generally work well but may require careful threading. Heavy or bulky yarns are not suitable and may cause skipped stitches or machine jams.

To ensure smooth operation, it is advisable to wind the yarn into a ball or prepare a loose length (2-3 meters) to prevent tangles and tension issues while feeding it into the machine.

5. Operating Modes

The FYGAIN SENTRO Knitting Machine offers two distinct knitting modes, selected via the mode switch:

• P-Gear (Plain Weave): This mode creates flat panels of knitted fabric. The width of the fabric is approximately 17.8 inches (45 cm). This mode is suitable for items like scarves, bags, sweaters, and pillows. Needle reduction can be performed in this mode.
• T-Gear (Ring Weave): This mode creates tubular knitted fabric with a fixed stitch count. The diameter of the tube is approximately 9.8 inches (25 cm). This mode is ideal for hats, gloves, and rag dolls.

6. Knitting Process

6.1 Initial Setup and Casting On

Follow these steps to cast on your first row:

1. Ensure the machine is stable on a flat surface using the suction cups.
2. Select your desired knitting mode (P-gear for flat, T-gear for round) using the mode switch.
3. Feed the yarn through the tension guide. Adjust the tension to be appropriate for your yarn type. Different yarns require different tension settings.
4. Turn the hand crank slowly. As the first needle comes up, place the yarn behind it. Continue turning, placing the yarn behind every other needle for the first round.
5. For the second round, place the yarn in front of the needles that were skipped in the first round, ensuring all needles now have yarn.
6. Continue turning the crank slowly and evenly. Ensure the yarn is consistently caught by the hooks.

6.2 Continuous Knitting

Once the initial cast-on is complete, continue turning the hand crank. Maintain a steady pace and ensure the yarn is feeding smoothly. If the handle becomes difficult to turn, do not force it. Check for yarn tangles, knots, or if the yarn is too thick for the machine.

In T-gear (round weave) mode, the row counter will automatically track your progress. Remember to reset the row counter to zero before starting a new project in this mode.
