Components

3. Setup
Before First Use
- Remove any stickers or protective film from the soleplate.
- Ensure the voltage indicated on the iron matches your local mains voltage.
- It is recommended to iron an old piece of fabric first to remove any manufacturing residues from the soleplate.
Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Set the steam control to the 'dry ironing' position (no steam).
- Open the water filling inlet.
- Fill the water tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. For areas with hard water, a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water is recommended. Do not use 100% distilled water as it can cause spitting.
- Close the water filling inlet securely.

4. Operating Instructions
Temperature and Steam Settings
- Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
- Adjust the thermostat dial to the desired temperature setting according to the fabric type. Refer to the garment care label.
- The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.
Dry Ironing
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the 'no steam' position. Wait for the iron to reach the desired temperature before use.
Steam Ironing
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Set the thermostat dial to a temperature suitable for steam (usually 3 dots or higher).
- Once the indicator light turns off, adjust the steam control to the desired steam level.
- For a powerful burst of steam, press the steam boost button. This is effective for stubborn creases.

Vertical Steaming
The vertical steaming function is suitable for removing creases from hanging garments, curtains, or delicate fabrics. Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric and press the steam boost button repeatedly.

Automatic Shut-off
For safety and energy saving, the iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. If left motionless, it will turn off after 8 minutes in a vertical position or 30 seconds if left on its soleplate. To reactivate, simply move the iron.
5. Maintenance
Cleaning the Soleplate
Allow the iron to cool completely. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metallic scouring pads, as these can damage the Durilium Airglide coating.
Micro-Calc Filter Cleaning
The integrated micro-calc filter helps to collect limescale particles. Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance.
- Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
- Locate the micro-calc filter, usually at the rear of the iron.
- Carefully remove the filter by pulling or twisting it according to the iron's design.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove any accumulated calc.
- Reinsert the clean filter back into the iron until it clicks into place.

Storage
After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron in an upright position in a safe, dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your iron, please consult the table below for common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; thermostat set too low; automatic shut-off activated. | Check power connection; adjust thermostat to a higher setting; move the iron to reactivate. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam control set to 'no steam'; calc build-up. | Fill water tank; set temperature to steam-appropriate level; adjust steam control; clean micro-calc filter. |
| Water drips from the soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; steam control set too high for temperature; anti-drip system not functioning optimally. | Increase temperature; reduce steam setting; allow iron to heat up fully before using steam. |
| White flakes or brown stains on fabric. | Calc build-up; using perfumed or chemically treated water. | Clean micro-calc filter; use appropriate water (tap water or 50/50 mix with distilled); perform a self-clean cycle if available. |
