Setup and Installation

The JACKYLED Motion Sensor Flood Lights feature an innovative slide-in mounting bracket for easy installation. Recommended installation height is 6-9 feet.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Solar Panel: Gently peel off the protective plastic film from the surface of the solar panel.
2. Mount the Brackets: Choose a suitable location for both the solar panel and the light unit. Ensure the solar panel location receives ample direct sunlight throughout the day. Drill holes and use the provided plastic anchors and screws to securely fix the mounting bases to the desired surface (e.g., wall, post). Ensure the 'UP' arrow on the bracket is pointing upwards.
3. Attach Units to Brackets: Slide the solar panel unit onto its mounted bracket. Similarly, slide the light unit onto its mounted bracket. The adjustable design allows you to angle both the solar panel for optimal sun exposure and the light unit for desired illumination coverage.
4. Connect the Cable: Connect the 16.4ft extension cord from the solar panel to the light unit. Ensure the connection is secure and the waterproof cap is tightly screwed on to prevent moisture ingress.
5. Activate the Light: Locate the power/mode switch on the back of the light unit (often covered by a rubber cap). Press the switch to turn the light on and select your desired operating mode.

Operating Modes

The light unit features a push-button switch to cycle through three distinct lighting modes:

• Mode 1: OFF-to-Bright (Motion Activated)
  The light remains OFF until motion is detected. Upon sensing movement, the light turns ON at full brightness for approximately 20 seconds, then turns OFF again.
• Mode 2: ALWAYS ON (Dusk to Dawn)
  The light stays ON at a low brightness level from dusk until dawn. The motion sensor is inactive in this mode.
• Mode 3: Dim-to-Bright (Motion Activated)
  The light stays ON at a dim brightness level from dusk until dawn. When motion is detected, the light brightens to full intensity for approximately 18-20 seconds, then returns to dim mode.

Press the switch on the back of the light unit to cycle through these modes. The light will remember the last selected mode.

Maintenance

• Clean Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean panel ensures optimal sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
• Inspect Connections: Periodically check the cable connections between the solar panel and the light unit to ensure they remain secure and waterproof.
• Clear Obstructions: Ensure no objects (e.g., tree branches, leaves) obstruct the solar panel's exposure to sunlight or the motion sensor's detection range.

Troubleshooting

• Light Not Turning On: Ensure the light is switched ON and the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight for charging. Verify that the cable connection is secure.
• Short Illumination Time: This may indicate insufficient charging. Relocate the solar panel to an area with more direct sunlight. Ensure the panel is clean.
• Motion Sensor Not Responding: Check for obstructions in front of the motion sensor. Ensure the light is in a motion-sensing mode (Mode 1 or Mode 3).
• Dim Light Output: The battery might not be fully charged. Allow for a full day of direct sunlight charging. If in Mode 2 or 3, the light is designed to be dim until motion is detected (Mode 3).
