3. Operating Instructions

3.1 TPMS Status Check

This function allows for a quick check of the TPMS system status. It can verify sensor health and identify any immediate issues.

3.2 Sensor Activation

The TireGO 808 can activate all universal and OE TPMS sensors operating at 315 MHz and 433 MHz. This process reads sensor IDs, tire pressure, tire temperature, battery status, and sensor position without dismounting the tire.

  1. Select the "Activate Sensor" option from the main menu.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to position the tool near each tire's sensor.
  3. The tool will display sensor information upon successful activation.

3.3 MX-Sensor Programming

This tool is designed to program OTOFIX MX-Sensors. It offers four programming methods:

  • Copy by Activation: Copies the ID from an activated original sensor.
  • Copy by Manual Input: Allows manual entry of the original sensor ID.
  • Auto Create: Generates new, unique IDs for up to 16 MX-Sensors simultaneously.
  • Copy by OBD: Copies sensor IDs directly from the vehicle's ECU via the OBD-II port, eliminating the need for relearn procedures.

Note: This function is exclusively for OTOFIX MX-Sensors.

3.4 Sensor Relearn

After replacing TPMS sensors or rotating tires, a relearn procedure is necessary to link the new sensor IDs to the vehicle's ECU. The TireGO 808 supports three relearn methods for most known sensors:

  • OBD Relearn: Connects to the vehicle's OBD-II port to write new sensor IDs directly to the ECU.
  • Automatic Relearn: Guides the user through a driving procedure to allow the vehicle to automatically learn new sensor IDs.
  • Stationary Relearn: Requires the vehicle to be in a specific mode (often activated via the tool) to learn new sensor IDs while stationary.
