2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Package Contents:

Please ensure all components are present before installation:

  • TH120 V2 ARGB Radiator with Pump/Waterblock
  • CT120 ARGB Fan (1x)
  • Mounting Brackets for Intel and AMD Sockets
  • Backplates and Screws
  • Thermal Compound
  • User Manual

2.2 Pre-Installation:

Verify your motherboard's CPU socket type (Intel LGA 1851/1700/1200/1156/1155/1151/1150 or AMD AM5/AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2) and select the appropriate mounting hardware.

2.3 Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Motherboard:
    • For AMD AM5/AM4: Remove the motherboard's plastic retention brackets. Keep the original backplate.
    • For Intel LGA1700: Assemble the Intel backplate using the outer mounting holes and blue washers to fix the backplate screws. Install the assembled backplate from the back side of the motherboard, ensuring screws pass through the mounting holes.
  2. Install Stand-offs and Brackets:
    • For AMD: Install four red standoffs onto the motherboard. Install two metal brackets on the standoffs and secure them with screws.
    • For Intel LGA1700: Install four blue standoffs onto the backplate screws. Install two Intel brackets on the standoffs, aligning the backplate screws through the LGA1700 holes on the brackets. Secure the brackets with nuts.
  3. Apply Thermal Compound: Apply a small amount of thermal compound (included) onto the center of the CPU's Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS).
  4. Mount Waterblock: Remove the protective sticker from the coldplate of the waterblock. Align the mounting holes on the waterblock bracket with the screws on the motherboard. Gently place the waterblock onto the CPU. Secure the waterblock by tightening the four nuts evenly in a cross pattern until snug.
  5. Install Radiator and Fan: Mount the 120mm radiator and fan to an available fan mount in your chassis (e.g., top, rear). Ensure proper airflow direction.
  6. Connect Cables:
    • Connect the fan's 4-pin PWM power cable to the CPU_FAN socket on your motherboard.
    • Connect the waterblock's 4-pin PWM header to the CPU_OPT, AIO_PUMP, or WATER_PUMP socket on your motherboard to power the pump.
    • Connect the ARGB lighting cable (3-pin, +5V) from the fan and waterblock to the corresponding 3-pin +5V ARGB socket on your motherboard for lighting control.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 ARGB Lighting Control:

The ARGB lighting of the waterblock and fan can be controlled via compatible motherboard RGB software (ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASRock Polychrome). Refer to your motherboard's manual for specific software instructions.

3.2 Fan and Pump Speed Control:

The fan and pump speeds are controlled via PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) through your motherboard's BIOS or dedicated fan control software. Adjust settings to balance cooling performance and noise levels according to your preference.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Radiator and Fan:

Periodically clean the radiator fins and fan blades to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and reduce cooling efficiency. Use compressed air or a soft brush to gently remove dust. Ensure the system is powered off before cleaning.

4.2 Inspecting Tubing and Connections:

Regularly check the tubing and connections for any signs of leaks or damage. While the system is sealed, visual inspection can help identify potential issues early. Ensure all connections remain secure.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 High CPU Temperatures:

  • Ensure the waterblock is securely mounted to the CPU with adequate thermal compound coverage.
  • Check if the fan and pump are operating correctly. Verify cable connections to the motherboard.
  • Clean the radiator and fan to remove any dust buildup.
  • Confirm proper airflow within your PC case.

5.2 ARGB Lighting Not Working:

  • Verify that the 3-pin +5V ARGB cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's ARGB header.
  • Ensure your motherboard's RGB software is installed and configured to control the cooler's lighting.
  • Check for any loose connections in the ARGB daisy chain (if applicable).

5.3 Unusual Noise from Pump or Fan:

  • Check for any obstructions to the fan blades.
  • Ensure the pump is receiving adequate power and is not running dry (though this is a sealed AIO, extreme angles can sometimes cause temporary noise).
  • Adjust fan/pump speeds in BIOS or software to see if noise changes.
